As March has segued into April, the basketball schedule has transitioned from the high school ranks to the AAU schedule.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the premier travel organizations in the Hoop State is [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars']. Headed up by coach Ty Cox out of Durham, the organization will field four teams this club season. Three of those teams will compete in the Elite 40 league with a 17U team competing in the NE2K League.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Without further adieu, here is a look at [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U E40 assembling. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":637871,"width":"470px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/04/IMG_0921-crop-3638x2389-1681739737.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-637871" style="width:470px;height:auto" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='772513' first='Olivia' last='Yancey']</strong> – Yancey has put together a stellar career on the AAU scene with [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars']. She recently completed her freshman season with 4A Jordan. Yancey averaged 14.2 points a game in 17 games in 2023-24.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Camille Rozzell</strong> – She began her high school career last season with the junior varsity team with Seaforth. Rozzell competed in 13 games as a freshman and averaged 10.5 points per contest. She is the lone representative from Seaforth on this year's roster. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1260028' first='Nikiyah' last='Silas']</strong> – Silas will cross state lines from the Commonwealth of Virginia into North Carolina for this year's AAU season. She played her freshman season on the junior varsity team of Thomas Dale whose varsity team put together a 24-2 season in 2023-24. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kaidyn Atkinson</strong> – Atkinson is the lone representative from Word of God on this year's rendition of [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars']' 15U. In fact, Atkinson is the only representative from the Holy Rams on any of the travel organization's four teams. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Angelia Dunn</strong> – Dunn had one of the best seasons of any freshman throughout the Hoop State in 2023-24. In the 26 games she played for 4A Cleveland, she averaged 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 steals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":692135,"width":"456px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/04/IMG_2154-crop-3366x2210-1688543773.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-692135" style="width:456px;height:auto" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='928373' first='Faith' last='Yon']</strong> – Speaking of freshmen who had breakout seasons, Yon certainly did that for Durham School of the Arts. Yon averaged 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 steals a contest last season. Yon also plays volleyball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":646029,"width":"458px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/04/Kennedi-Edwards.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-646029" style="width:458px;height:auto" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kennedi Edwards</strong> – This year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U team will field two representatives from Southern Durham. Edwards is one of those two. She played in 26 games throughout the 2023-24 season with the Spartans. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":637872,"width":"463px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/04/IMG_0923.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-637872" style="width:463px;height:auto" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='772520' first='Jakayla' last='Palmer']</strong> – Palmer is the other representative from 3A Southern Durham and she has put together stellar seasons in the past for [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars']. She averaged nine points a game in her freshman season as a Spartan. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Courtney Perkins</strong> – Along with being part of the junior varsity team at 3A Rocky Mount, she is a two-sport athlete as evidenced by her playing varsity volleyball. Perkins adds to what a team can get accomplished in the frontcourt. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Lea Rios</strong> – Rios is the only representative from 4A Knightdale on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U E40 roster. Rios is also the only player listed on any of the four [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] rosters for this year's AAU season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Joy Okauru</strong> – Okauru joins this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U E40 roster from Mount Zion Christian Academy – also in Durham. She is one of two from the Warriors on the four rosters for the organization. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Sierra Smith</strong> – Another frontcourt standout, Smith comes from a Rolesville team that concluded the 2023-24 season as 4A state champions.
