Countless travel teams came from across the country to compete April 19-21st in this NCAA Live-Period event. S-40, P-24, and independent circuit travel teams competed in front of 300+ D1, D2, and D3 college coaches across 28 courts at the Spooky Nook Sports Championship Mill facility. Here are some of the 2026 prospects who impressed me as I watched their games courtside last weekend.
Addison Chase Addison Chase 5’7″ | PG Dexter | 2026 State MI picked the perfect time to heat up from outside for Michigan Drive Premier 2026-S40 at The Clash. As soon as the court entered my line of sight, Addison buried a contested wing 3. She delivered an accurate entry pass and scored on a back cut finish. Addison drove right through the defense to finish at the rim and knocked down another wing 3. She showed her defensive tenacity by ripping the ball away from a driving ball handler. One of Addison’s best plays was when she beat her defender on a baseline drive and then used a fancy euro-step to avoid a help defender and finish the and one layup through a foul. Addison is a PG who has continued to impress me since last fall.

Makayla Schlorf Makayla Schlorf 5’4″ | PG Tecumseh | 2026 State MI had another impressive performance for Michigan Drive Premier 2026-S40, this time at The Clash. She knocked down a corner 3 and then used a series of killer crossovers to send her defender falling to the floor. Makayla utilized a high ball rip into a mid-range jumper and communicated to teammates where the ball should be passed on offense. Makayla finished layups, created steals, and drove hard into contact.

Odessa Kanton
Odessa Kanton (6’3, W/F, 2028) played up with Team PA 16U Select at The Clash. Her length, defense, and demeanor on the court was impressive. She swatted a shot in the paint and deflected the ball away from her opponent driving. What set her apart from other competitors was how she verbally acknowledged a foul she made on defense and recognized her responsibility. Odessa is a young prospect who I hope to see compete again up north in the future.
Reghan Markley was an outstanding two-way guard for Legends U Blue 16U-S40 at The Clash. She handled the ball with poise under pressure and delivered a long pass to hit a teammate in stride over the defense. She maintains a strong and balanced defensive stance, moving with quickness to cut off ball handlers and create steals. Reghan battled for an offensive rebound, finished through the foul at the rim, and drilled the and one free throw. She demonstrated maturity by asking an official about a call respectfully during a dead ball situation, seeking understanding of how to prevent the call next time.
MacKenzi Duthie MacKenzi Duthie 5’11” | PF Howell | 2026 State MI was a force offensively for Legends U Blue 16U-S40 at The Clash. She stole the ball and then scored in transition using a full speed euro-step. MacK showed her strength delivering a sideline to corner overhead skip pass on a rope to a teammate for an assist. She demonstrated her ability to face up to the basket and also finished strong at the rim off two feet. MacK made a great impression with her outstanding performance during the tournament.

Melanie Kolnitys Melanie Kolnitys 5’3″ | PG State MI earned recognition with her two-way play for Mystics 2026-S40 at The Clash. She showed her outside shooting ability by knocking down a contested corner 3. Melanie elevated inside to finish strong off two; she had me saying “wow” when she put her defender in jail on a hostage dribble, beat the help using smooth strides on a euro-step, then finished with a layup high off the glass.
