One thing I love about Mary’s game is that she is poised. She doesn’t rush anything and she takes what the defense gives her! She’s a high IQ kid that has a great understanding of the game. She can shoot the long ball, she can hit the mid-range, and she can finish around the rim with either hand! She doesn’t get sped up and she can help control the tempo of any game. This one is a versatile athlete that you can plug in numerous positions. Tremendous upside for this one!
Jenna is just starting to scratch the surface. I would have her name down on every radar because we are going to witness the development in this young athlete, and she is going to be GREAT! She is a rebounding machine and a great finisher! She has a nice pull up shot too! One thing that should definitely be talked about more is her passing! She passes extremely well! She’s an athlete with an extremely high ceiling!
Highlights
The 5’11 post is dominant anywhere in the paint. I called her the glass cleaner this weekend. She was great on the glass on both sides of the court! She doesn’t need many touches to impact the game. She attacks the ball great off the glass! She has good size and she plays strong! Sophie was able to show her impressive footwork off on numerous possessions. One of my favorite plays of the day was Sophie grabbing the offensive board, using her footwork, and going up strong to finish the put back!

Loveday may have played in more games than anyone this weekend. She loves the game of basketball and it shows every single time that she steps on the court! She played in with the older kids and drilled a 3. She takes her overall game to another level when she can step in and hit 3’s consistently! You know that Liv is going to always talk on the court. Communication is one thing that has separated her from the pack in the early years! You also know that Liv is going to rebound. When I tell you that Liv gives up 6 inches sometimes and she still battles, I’m not exaggerating. I have watched Liv box out and seal the 6 footers and I’ve watched her win battle after battle! Loveday is a special one. She deserves so much more credit for everything that she does on the court!

Coaches love heart, hustle, effort, & great defenders. Most kids can score the basketball. However, who can you defend? Taylor is a consistent lock down defender! If she goes a game without a steal, trust me, she is not making it easy on anyone! One thing that may go unnoticed at times is Cailyn’s court vision. The freshman can thread the needle, and she is completely unselfish. I watch so many athletes and Cailyn may be the most unselfish one that I’ve watched. Cailyn Taylor Cailyn Taylor 5’8″ | SG Webb School Of Knoxville | 2027 State TN checks off the boxes. Trust the process, because you have a long career in the sport that you love!

Shiney Morris
Shiney Morris
This was my first time watching Team UnGuardable, and I was left completely impressed with this young squad. This coach has Morris & the entire team ready to run through brick walls for each other and her! Shiney is a good two-way athlete. Again, I love defenders and Morris is going to make you earn every score! She’s smart, fundamentally sound, and a good shooter! She was able to show off her range drilling numerous 3’s. This 8th grader has an extremely bright future!
Brooke Perry
Brooke Perry
Brooke has a great understanding of the game, and she was able to show that this past weekend! You can tell that she works extremely hard off the court! She is a good ball handler with good court vision! She makes reads that most 8th graders don’t see yet! She attacks the rim strong, and finishes strong! I love her mid-range pull up! This is another 8th grader with an extremely bright future!
Kenady Deal
Kenady Deal
First, I want to tell this SEVENTH grader to keep having fun, keep enjoying the game, and take in being a kid! Now, how special on the court is Kenady Deal? She is truly a special talent. In shorter terms, just know this one is different! She can score in so many different ways! In my opinion, she’s one of the best shooters on the court at all times. She stands out amongst her peers, and she knows the game! Some things can’t be taught in the game of basketball and Kenady Deal possesses ALL of those things. Keep learning & keep growing because the future is more than bright!
Coach wrote on X, “Lauren Clark can do things on the court that most can’t! Stands out in every tournament!” That is 110% accurate too! When Clark is on the court, you know her name as soon as the game is over. Lauren is an exceptional athlete that needs to trust ALL of the process. I don’t predict the future, but this is one thing I do know; your high school coaches phone is going to ring, your AAU coaches phone is going to ring, and YOUR phone is going to ring with coaches from the next level wanting you! The versatility that you continue to show and your extremely high IQ is unmatched. Your defense is at another level now! I look forward to following your journey the next few years!
