McBride is a 6’3 C with a possible 6’5 wingspan. She stood out right off the bat for obvious reasons but her play was actually sharp. She was rebounding well and getting into position through the physicality. She is an obvious shot blocker and the thing that was eye catching was she had a good shooting touch from the perimeter, even beyond the arc.
Garner was able to use her height and her length racking up board after board. She started to find a lot of success tracking down rebounds and it made for easy finishes. Her touch got a lot better as the game progressed. If she can keep it simple and do work in the paint she will continue to have success. She was running the floor well and her recovery on defense was impressive as well.
Muller was a force and she will need to hit the ground running and provide those all around skills at the new high school that is opening. She tracks down rebounds very well and she is physical. She is a player to keep an eye on.
Olivia Blackwell
Olivia Blackwell
Blackwell has been playing up all spring on the 16U Gold Circuit at Adidas and frankly you can’t tell that she is younger. She plays with good pace and she does change speeds but she was providing a little bit of everything last night as she was handling the ball and pressure on offense and she was able to get to the rim and draw fouls. Blackwell was moving the ball and progressively getting better as the game went on. She is going to be a really good 2027 player, especially in that Idaho class.
Anderson is tough! Her shooting ability gets it all going but she has that quick release and she can get in the zone so quickly.I think she is going to be a steal at the next level for a small school. She will hurt you if you are not ready for her shot making ability on a pick n’ roll and she will also get in and mix things up in the paint. She was impressive Day 1.
Finau was showing that shifty style she has and she has speed, so when she gets downhill she is tought o stop and she has a go to spin move she can really create space with. Good touch around the rim as well. She has steadily improved weekend after weekend.
Juggler was solid on Day 1. She runs the floor well and as a hybrid wing/forward she has the skills to play inside and outside. In transitions she made some great reads as she creates space. She was an eye catcher on her court.
