TN AAU State Championships: Friday Night/Sat Morning Action

with 4 bombs (4-9).  Overall, she ended the game 5-11 from the floor with 16 points.  The kid is know for her ability to pass, but she's much more than freshman from Carter HS was impressive on Fri night for Trotters '27 (Armes).  She struggled to find the bottom of the net, but that's going to happen.  What I loved is that she didn't let it affect the rest of her game.  As a coach I begged my players to put their confidence in the controllables:  effort, enthusiasm and focus.  That's what she did as her motor continued to run high all game long!  She ended their big win with 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal.  Awesome non scoring player_id='821829' first='Brylee' last='Flatt'] is good at the game of basketball.  I haven't seen her play a ton, but her IQ is off the charts.  She doesn't take bad shots.  She makes makes quick choices.  And she knows when to go straight at a defender's chest at the rim, instead of trying to avoid contact (that's what most kids do).  Flatt was 7-7 from the FT line as she continued to put pressure on the rim and seek to initiate contact.  She finished the game with 16.  She's going to be really good down the shooters in the state, and 8/10 is legit.  She can flat out shoot it, and she only seems to be getting better and more Friday night's win, Rollins' performance was her typical efficient one:  8 points on 2/2 from three with 5 assists.  She's certainly made an effort to add playmaking  and passing a bigger part of her game, and its working out beautifully for her and her team.  She can get buckets, but she doesn't need to....and just because you can doesn't always mean you top tier PG in her state.  She led the way last night with 7 assists, which is a huge number is a fast aau game.  She also added 9 points on 2/2 from three, and 2 steals.  She's a dynamic playmaker that has everything it takes to be a next level PG.  Really defends her position well too.  Love her was really curious how Grasty would fit in with this ball club, and she looked good!  Trotters '26 trailed at the half in their Saturday morning game, but made a huge second half run to take the win.  Grasty got going, and scored 10 second half points.  She gives them one more offensive weapon on a team that you KNOW will defend like heck every
