of
Nebraska Supreme
is an athlete that is going to be putting up some big numbers this Winter with her Standing Bear Varsity team if she plays to her full capabilities. Vasa is a lengthy 6’0 Small Forward with a smart head on her shoulders and a smooth shooting stroke from most spots around the floor. When you account for her size, skill level, and the competition that her team will match up against, it’s not crazy to think that she will put up some noteworthy numbers in several different statistical categories when that time comes this upcoming season. She is someone that is fundamental and efficient for her size with a lot of promise looking toward the near future.

Rena Rasmussen Rena Rasmussen 5'10" | PF Laurel-Concord-Coleridge | 2027 State NE may be the biggest question mark I have out of this Class in Nebraska. What I mean by that is, she put up some insane numbers as a Freshman. She was a leader in the state in scoring and rebounding, no matter her age and that is impressive. My question lies in her competition level. Due to no fault of her own, it seems like she is competing against some smaller schools while putting up these numbers so if she can show everyone that she can do the same against some elite competition, than we are easily talking about a Top 5-10 prospect out of this 2027 Class. I’l be keeping a close eye on this one moving forward in that regard and I can’t wait to see how she does in the long run.

When it comes to

, she is still a work in progress but so far, she has looked really good this AAU season with her
Nebraska Supreme
team. Varn comes in as one of the tallest prospects out of this 2027 Class with a lot of future potential to build on. She has pretty solid coordination with a soft touch on the ball and she can be a real game changer on offense because of that. Defensively, she is someone that others need. to worry about. If they don’t, it will most likely end up in a block party for Varn at the rim. This is one of those prospects that if she continues to work on the correct things moving forward, she could be an underrated star out of this 2027 Class by the time her high school career comes to a close.

of Lincoln North Star High School is going to be the starting PG for her program this upcoming Winter with the loss of Kaytee Irons, who recently transferred to another school. Johnson and Irons split time at the PG spot last season on their State Tournament run so this position shouldn’t be anything new or crazy to the program. Johnson is a solid guard, that has a nice handle, she can control the tempo of the offense, and she can make the others around her better. In this Update, Johnson is still on the outside looking in from the Top 25 but that doesn’t change the fact that she is a heck of a ball player. Over these next three seasons, if she makes the most of her opportunities she will end with a very successful high school career. She has all the intangibles so I can’t wait to see what she can do this season while being solely in charge of the LNS offense.

Alma | 2027

brings to the court along with her skill is second-to-none out of her 2027 Class. Scott is coming off of a respectable season as a Freshman with her Alma High School team and she carried that momentum into a solid Spring AAU season with the
Nebraska Lasers
leading us into the Summer. Scott is the type that won’t kill you with a flashy move but with fundamentals and experience. She takes whatever the defense gives her and because of that, she finds a lot of simple success in most facets of the game. This is one of those PG’s that a coach can trust in to get you a bucket or a stop on defense when you need it the most. Something that you can’t say about a ton of others at this point in their young career. As long as Scott continues to expand her game, she should thrive on any floor she steps on. Whether that be at the high school level or AAU level.
