During the June Scholastic live period for high schools, I traveled down the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland to catch some of the day two action. I took in handful of games and came away impressed with several prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='888806' first='Caryne' last='Nelson'], Mt. Carmel, 2025, Wing

Caryne is up to about 5'1l" now and has great length and athleticism. She is playing with a lot more confidence and has taken her game to another level. She is rebounding and pushing the ball up court herself or throwing sharp outlet passes and then filling the lane. She has improved her finishing moves around the basket and looks much better handling the ball.

Lily Ajok Deng, Mt. Carmel, 2026, Center

Lily has good footwork and knows how to establish position in the post. At 6'4" she has legit length and a nice little jump hook that she can get off against anyone. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her as she has the potential to be a major player.

[player_tooltip player_id='798414' first='Jaden' last='Washington'], Mt. Carmel, 2025, Guard

Jaden put some good things on tape in the game I saw. She has great balance and plays off two feet, so she able to explode to the basket and finish strong. She mostly played the facilitator role and kept things running smoothly for her teammates and played strong on-ball defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='538907' first='Amya' last='Goodsell'], Mt. Carmel, 2025, Wing/Guard

This was a good all-around tournament for Amya. Mount Carmel is much deeper this year, so she doesn't have to do as much. That allows her to play lock down defense, serve as a secondary ball handler and get buckets in the flow of the offense. She looks up to the task, showing versatility and patience throughout the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='303118' first='Sydney' last='Sutton'], St. Frances Academy, 2025, Guard

Sydney is back from her ACL surgery, and it was good to see her back on the court. Her three-point shot was working, and she did some work in the paint. I'll be following to see how soon she regains all of her explosiveness, but she looked like she is ready to bounce back in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id='433839' first='Kiamyani' last='Scott'], Rosedale Christian Academy, 2026, Guard

Kiki is one of the highest scoring guards in the state. She is now also one of the top rebounding guards in the area as well as she pursues the ball relentlessly. Against St. John's Catholic she posted a line of 21 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists in their win. She sheds double teams with escape dribbles and pure speed and attacks the basket with force. She has deep range and almost no conscience, so she is a threat to score at all times. She is starting to rack up D1 offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='798406' first='London' last='Harvey'], Rosedale Christian Academy, 2025, Power Forward

London is a rugged and athletic forward who has been playing center most of the time. She has improved her shot, so she is now comfortable taking three-pointers and has a good face up game. She pounds the glass on both end of the floor and deters a lot of shots with her shot blocking and post defense. She is gathering D1 offers and when she refines her finishing package around the basket her offers could possibly go up to Power 5 schools. It's been great to watch her rapid development.

[player_tooltip player_id='931435' first='Layla' last='McFarland'], St. John's Catholic Prep, 2026, Center

At 6'2" and solidly built, Layla is an imposing figure. She has good footwork and soft hands and finishes everything in the paint. She has an excellent touch at the free throw line and controls the boards. She will be a double-double machine in the IAAM B conference this season.
