BCAM Reaching Higher: Friday 2025 Notebook

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grand Valley State University hosted the BCAM Reaching Higher Scholastic Girls High School Team Camp on June 14th and 15th. Many of Michigan's best prospects and teams came out to compete with college coaches and media evaluating in the gym. Here are a few prospects who made an impression on Friday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='716481' first='Emily' last='Walker'] 2025 Farmington Hills Mercy</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Emily was an offensive force for the Marlins on Saturday at BCAM Reaching Higher. She beat her defender baseline to score a floater, hit a pull-up jumper off the bounce, and knocked down a wing 3. She threw a laser full-court assist to a teammate in transition and chased down an outlet pass to score off two in the paint. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='424155' first='Alison' last='Farr'] 2025 Howell</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Alison had an outstanding Saturday for Howell and was impressive on both ends against extremely athletic guards. She split defenders off the dribble to score a contested floater and elevated off two to score in the paint. Alison delivered a full court one handed assist on a rope to her teammate, and converted layups. Alison had her sites lined up beyond the arc and drilled a clutch wing 3 late to seal the victory for her team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='419530' first='Isis' last='Johnson-Musah'] 2025 DEPSA</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Isis was practically unguardable for DEPSA on Saturday. Her quickness, length, and athleticism is off the charts, resulting in many steals and blocks. Isis scored full speed contested layups off the dribble, mid range jumpers, and knocked down 3's from different spots off the bounce. She competed on another level and proved why she is Michigan's top 2025 prospect at BCAM Reaching Higher. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='996496' first='Adelynn' last='Nyhof'] 2025 Holland Christian</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Adelyn was a new name who impressed me greatly at BCAM Reaching Higher Saturday. She sparked the offense, scoring contested layups in transition and off two feet in the paint. Adelyn knocked down 3's efficiently from the corner, hit mid-range jumpers off the dribble, and scored a contested floater off two. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='716471' first='Gillian' last='Sorrelle'] 2025 Grand Haven</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gillian impacted the game for Grand Haven on both sides of the floor at BCAM Reaching Higher on Saturday. She blocked shots in the paint and created off the dribble with a combination of crossovers and behind-the-back snaps. Gillian blew by her defender to score a left-handed layup off two and scored a layup full speed in transition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='424562' first='Amal' last='Younes'] 2025 Walled Lake Northern</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Amal was one of the most impressive distributors at the point guard position on Saturday at BCAM Reaching Higher. She keeps the ball close to her body and creates space with a variety of combo dribbles. Amal scans the floor constantly and delivers accurate passes through small windows. She skips the ball to move the defense and hits the deck for 50/50 balls.
