Notes from the Cardinal Classic

She continued to show college coaches that she is one of, if not the, best shooter in the state. Incredible hops paired with an excellent skill set and feel for the game. After averaging 16 points and 8 rebounds as a freshman on 39% from the floor and 31% from three--the percentages say that as she becomes and more efficient scorer she has a few more levels to get to as a player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>And if you watch the film, she's beginning to show flashes. The court vision she displayed at the Cardinal Classic was off the charts. Super athletic, locked in defensively, and does all the little things. One of the better '25 passers I've seen, and really understands how to setup her teammates to put them in the best place to succeed. I didn't recognize Cotton, so I texted Coach Hassel, and he let me know there is a reason I didn't recognize her: she's headed into the 8th grade. It was impossible to tell on the court however, as the speed and size didn't seem too much for her at all. She looked rock solid playing against big time competition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She has a 9 point, 3 rebound game vs GRC.
