Jenna had a great day for Reading on both ends of the court Monday at the SAU Shootout. One of my favorite conversations of the day happened when she shared that her childhood ambition was to become a good shooter: she has accomplished that. Jenna drilled many 3s off the catch from different spots all over the court with high efficiency. She caused steals on defense and made excellent post-entry passes with both hands on offense. A ref came over to congratulate Jenna on her progress as a shooter since last summer after her game. Jenna is a great example of how hard work and determination lead to success on the court.

Aubree worked hard for Reading to cause havoc for ball handlers on defense at the SAU Shootout on Monday. She used her length and quick hands to steal the ball away and score transition buckets. Aubree finished a left floater, scored through a foul on her drive, and then hit the free throw. Aubree changed speed off the bounce, pausing with her dribble before driving by her defender to score a floater.

[player_tooltip player_id='866205' first='Bradie' last='Lehman'] is a guard for Concord who had an excellent Grassroots season with Mystics South and she brought those abilities to the SAU Shootout on Monday. Bradie finished in the paint off two after working for offensive rebounds and she stole the ball away for layups. Bradie attacks downhill hard off the dribble and has a soft touch on her floater.

Hailey was relentless on defense and her ball pressure produced many transition points for Michigan Center at the SAU Shootout on Monday. Hailey swiped the ball away and scored layups in transition. She took a defensive rebound coast to coast and used an inside-out dribble to beat her defender to score a layup. Hailey converted layups efficiently off the dribble and led the way on both ends for her team.

[player_tooltip player_id='932733' first='Kenna' last='Hunt'] is a 2028 guard prospect who competed up a division this spring with Legends U and showed at the SAU Shootout on Monday why she is one of the best prospects in her class. Kenna has athleticism and leaping ability that immediately jumps out; she blocks shots and creates steals on the defensive end. Kenna pushes the ball quickly in transition, scanning the floor to find open teammates. Kenna used a shot fake to beat her defender off the dribble and elevated to score a mid-range jumper. She shoots from a balanced platform with a textbook follow-through and drilled multiple 3s from the corner and wing. Kenna impressed me by making extra passes to teammates for assists on her drives: she shares the ball. Kenna was very well-spoken and polite; she is going to be an exciting prospect to watch at the high school level and is a prospect we would love to see again at our Freshman Showcase on August 25th.
