Bailey does the most ball handling of the Tahoma guards, although they have the option of a four guard attack with Maryn King, Jaycee Harrison, and Rylee Jacox all being set for bigger roles on the perimeter. Bailey is a shooter first and foremost. At least when it comes to scoring. She made 49 threes at 43%. She can shoot it from way deep and made quite a few in the games I watched. She has good speed and moves her feet well on defense. She has maybe the best floor vision of the Tahoma backcourt, dropping some nice dimes, both in transition and the half court. She has a poise when pressured and doesn’t panic. She is a good bet to lead the team in threes, although they have a few shooters in the aforementioned guards.

At 6’0″, she is a big piece of this team for next season. She was last year scoring 8 points a game and getting 8 rebounds to go with it. She wasn’t doing anything flashy, but she consistently ran the floor. getting a few baskets or earning a trip to the line. She will be as important as any when it comes to the rebounding aspect of the game. She had a lot of rebounds in this tournament and is always going to give maximum effort on the glass. Tahoma won’t be very big, with the quick guards making up most of the lineup, but she is one that provides the necessary size on the block. She was a consistent scorer also, going up with the ball quickly when she got it deep in the paint.
Maryn is solid guard who plays with some toughness. She does a few things well, she has a beautiful looking jumper from three, she rebounded well for her size, and she gets up into other guards on defense. She has quick feet and her ball pressure seems to come naturally although she was putting in maximum effort on the defensive end of the floor all tournament long. She has good court awareness and will also value the ball, not turning it over with careless mistakes. Don’t be surprised to see her drop threes fairly often next season. You can’t tell me she hasn’t worked on her shooting. She made some threes last season but not at a high percentage. That may well change next season. She is aggressive and not afraid to mix it up under the basket. A much bigger role awaits next season and so does a much improved player.
Syesha likes to do one thing often and she does it extremely well. She attacks the basket hard and gets a ton of points in the paint doing so. She has the speed and strength to make it tough to stop her when she goes all out to the hoop, which is often. She was getting into the lane consistently and either scoring or getting fouled. She plays with toughness and gets it and goes. If you don’t stop ball, she isn’t stopping either until she gets to the basket. She has some moves as well, with spins, and floaters. She had it all going on. She averaged 17 a game last season through 15 games. She’s not going to make it a habit to shoot threes, she rarely does. Too busy getting it done in the paint.
I last watched her at the freshman showcase. She has improved by leaps and bounds since then. She has gotten noticeably quicker, and her offensive game is expanding. She is quick off the dribble, uses cross overs, and even had a nice step back three. She had a beautiful drive and layed the ball high off the glass for one of a few buckets she had, showing finesse getting to the basket. Her defensive pressure was also noticeably better. It was great. She has quick lateral movement. When she attacks the basket, she can do so going either way. She has a soft touch from mid-range and three. Her numbers should go way up next season.
