Northwood University hosted its second high school team camp on July 16-18th with teams from different regions of Michigan competing on campus. There was a fantastic variety of teams attending from all across Michigan and the OT Tournament continues to be a staple of the camp. Possibly the most exciting part of camp was finding potential college-level 2025 prospects who have not been competing on the travel circuit. Here are a few 2025 guards who earned recognition for their outstanding performance on the court at Northwood Team Camp Two.

[player_tooltip player_id='1106094' first='Alexis' last='Woodbeck'] had the opportunity to be the go to girl for Flushing at Northwood Team Camp 2 and she shined in that role. Alexis crossed over her defender to score a left layup and was praised for her high intelligence on the court by her head coach. Alexis drilled a straightaway 3 off the catch, split defenders with a low crossover then scored a contested layup. She kept possession by throwing the ball off a defender near the sideline and elevated high up on the ball to cause a steal on defense. Alexis has earned 1st and 2nd team all-conference honors the past two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='952488' first='Grace' last='Guibord'] led the way offensively for Sandusky at Northwood Team Camp 2. She has a balanced and accurate 3 point shot, hitting from the corner, and scored left layup off two feet in transition. Grace grabbed a defensive rebound and raced down the floor coast to coast before knocking down a wing jumper. Grace used hesitation dribbles and quick crossovers to split defenders and earn free throws off drives to the basket.

Jordyn from Zeeland West was one of the most impressive athletes in the gym at Northwood Team Camp 2. She had another gear off the dribble to beat defenders to the rim and scored many explosive layups in the half court and transition. Jordyn used a variety of combination dribbles to gain the advantage over defenders and blew by baseline for a finish at the rim. She showed her strength to score through fouls at the rim and drilled many 3s from different spots on the court. Jordyn hit the deck for 50/50 balls, created steals, and showed signs of being a true competitor. She demonstrated the qualities of a college basketball player, but is committed to play D1 Soccer at Ball State and we wish her a great career!

Karie came up for day two of camp after a long tournament in Kentucky and brought her best basketball with her. Karie pushed the ball in transition after a steal, crossed over her defender and converted the contested layup. She blocked a shot in the paint, used a smooth euro-step to score off the dribble, and nailed a wing 3. Karie finishes with excellent footwork on her drives and is successful at getting the advantage with her body to create scoring angles.
