A WATCH LIST is NOT a RANKING, it is players that I have seen who stood out multiple times.
With that being said, the players mentioned have been seen by me RECENTLY, either at tournaments, providing their team turned in ROSTERS, or at Individual Showcases. Please note, that to get BOTH eyes on you, coming up on September 1st, the PGH Texas Freshman Showcase is a great way to be seen, please use code ColsonPGH2024 for a discount
Ross’ team didn’t have a roster provided yet she falls into that category of when you leave me speechless, I put that extra effort in to find out who you are and her performance at #BringTheHeat lands her in the mix see evaluation here

Byrd has been flying since I first saw her I guess 3 years ago yet as her game continues to soar, there is no telling how high she will climb during her high school career. She’s strong off the dribble and finishes after contact yet she also does a good job of creating her shot to drop the mid to long-range. Her “on the ball” pressure has gotten better, she’s even rebounding over taller players

Reed was one of these standouts at the #NextUp Individual Showcase in Waco I recently attended and her upside has me smiling. She stands almost at “the magic number” and she’s “long and athletic” which is the base. She gave me the “hands and footwork” as well as timing to block shots yet her rebounding and finishing strongly around the basket stood out, and so did her court vision. She also attacked and finished strongly off the dribble

Crudup has shown me something different in a variety of settings and since she is “long and athletic” which is still the base, let me give you some intangibles of hers that will separate her as her on-the-court progression continues. She’s a guard who can not only create her shot but elevate on her jumper and drop it while being defended. She also elevates around the basket to score and she finishes after contact off the dribble. Her court vision is solid, she defends in the set as well as baseline to baseline and she’s a couple of inches shy of “that magic number”
Highlights
Johnson falls into my saying “her ceiling has no roof” category and one thing I know for certain is that she plays taller than her listed height. She’s a “long and athletic” guard, which is also the base, and her explosiveness off the dribble to score is going to create major problems yet that explosiveness also stands out off the floor as she scores and rebounds over taller players inside the paint. Her timing to block, alter and or deflect shots is nice, her court vision across the board is solid and she defends both in the set as well as baseline to baseline
