This was the last weekend of the Summer AAU season for the 2024 Season for a lot of programs including the [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack']. Someone that has been a stud for them all season long has been PG, Kaytee Irons. Irons did what she does best this weekend and that is hit shots from deep, defend like her life depends on it, and facilitate for others for easy looks at the basket. All weekend long she led including having a contest where she scored 37 points with 9 made three pointers to help her team advance during bracket play. It's going to be interesting how the transfer of Irons plays in the upcoming high school season. She can surely be a game changer so as long as she keeps it simple, she should continue to put up noteworthy numbers, while helping her team win a lot of ball games.

With [player_tooltip player_id='757558' first='Halle' last='Dolliver'] of ETG Midwest E 3SSB falling due to injury, other's on the squad have had to step up to take her place in the production categories of scoring and rebounding. Someone who has done a seamless job of taking over the lead is SG, [player_tooltip player_id='820879' first='Ava' last='Markowski'] of Pius X High School. Markowski's mixture of length, shooting ability, and smarts makes for a tough basketball prospect as a whole. She has demonstrated time and time again that she is an [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] scorer of the ball, while being able to catch on fire from deep in a hurry. She can also put it on the floor and finish at the rim with or without contact with her coordination and body control. This past weekend, she has been her team's leading scorer in almost every contest they competed in. Giving her momentum to carry into the future on the hardwood.

Nebraska Hoops [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] 17U put together a respectable weekend as a whole and someone that was very consistent was [player_tooltip player_id='655088' first='Ayana' last='Owens'] of Lincoln High - High School. She ended up leading her team in scoring one game but mostly she was the prospect on her team that was consistent each contest, putting up around 10 PPG, along with tallying some other positive statistics at the same time. Owens is still uncommitted but she has some collegiate options at this time. She should have a lot more in my opinion but that's another conversation. I'm sure she has some visits lined up this Fall to help her decide where feels like "home" the most so we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

The ETG Midwest E 17U Team just won 3SSB Nationals in double OT and this comes to no surprise to anyone that understood this roster from the beginning of the year. To kick things off this Spring I said that this group is EASILY a Top Five team in the country across all sponsored circuits and I'm glad they proved me right. A big reason for their success was because of additions like Virginia Tech Commit, [player_tooltip player_id='311351' first='Amani' last='Jenkins']. Jenkins took over at the end of the game to give her team a chance to knock down a shot at the end to win it and it all worked out for them. Jenkins is going to be looked upon this Winter to be an important Senior presence with her Johnston Dragons team. So we will really see how much of a leader she can be and how great she can make the others around her. Something I'm sure she is going to thrive at.

[player_tooltip player_id='747257' first='Jaelynn' last='Moody'] may not of made her mark yet at Millard West High School but her time is coming. She just needs to be patient. This weekend for her [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] team, she had several solid games, putting up good numbers around the board while helping lead her team to some victories. I think this next season at West that Moody won't see a ton of the Varsity floor but more so compete on the JV/Sophomore team as a significant contributor. I could be completely off on this but they will be returning a good amount of their Varsity from a year ago, even though they did lose some due to graduation. If Moody can step on the court and play the role she is given though, no matter what that is or what level it's at, I'm sure she is going to thrive.
