First off, let me give a big shout out to the [program_tooltip program_id='713616' first='Tennessee' last='Flight'] EYBL program, [program_tooltip program_id='715602' first='FBC' last='Nashville'] as well as the B.Maze program. They won their championship in their prospective divisions in the EYBL and on the UAA circuit. Talk about a phenomenal summer where our girls from the state did work and competed on some big time stages. Just like you, I ,and many others are so proud of them. It's an awesome feeling and a wonderful site to witness good basketball being played and done the right way. Going out there and giving it all, I mean I really do feel that the quality of basketball around the state is going up a notch or two.

I know a lot of seniors will get a lot of love in the upcoming months, but we have some younger hitters who will be the next in line to carry the torch and rep our state. I am talking about young females who just grind. True hoopers who get it done on both ends of the floor. These girls play a pivotal piece in their school's foundation and are a part of solid piece of fabric of talented hoopers that are from the Volunteer state.

Here are some kids who will help carry the torch and lead the next wave of talented basketball players from our state.

Haylen Ayers (6'1/So./ G/ USJ)- Geez, a smooth athletic guard who plays her rear end off. This kid is a tough two way player and one of the best not only in the state, but the country in her grade. A multi-level scoring threat who is a dual sport athlete and excels at both of them (Softball and basketball). She is a true hit stick and goes right at opponents. Love all her qualities such as multi-level scoring threat, tough defender, exceptional passer, ect. The kid is one of the toughest around and is a big deal for our state and for this class. Look for her to continue to rise and get better as goes against stiffer competition. Well, let me put it this way, as this competition tries to contain her. This kid is talented and will excel without a doubt. A must who should be on all colleges recruiting boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='821670' first='Jade' last='Watson'] (5'6'/SO./ G/ Rockvale)- Talented rising sophomore who is an absolute dawg. A dynamic scoring threat who can take her opponent off the dribble to attack down hill for an easy lay, or unleash a nice pull up jumper. She defends well in the open court, neutralizing the opposition. Had a stellar summer season where her stock has increased and jumped on some D1 schools' radar. Great kid who has a bright future. If you don't know the name now, make sure you do because she is a big deal and will be a big-time kid coming out of our state.

Lily Espelet (6'0/Jr./ F/ Page)- Solid inside out player who can beat you from multiple spots on the floor. Has a strong face up game, but will utilize her height down low to battle around the blocks. Has a nice stroke from 3, will crash the boards and get easy putbacks. Suffocates opponents with her defense. This kid is on the rise and will be a force over the next couple of years.

[player_tooltip player_id='792288' first='Makynli' last='Bacon'] (6'0/ Fr./ F/ Webb Bell-Buckle)- Beast. Enough said. I shouldn't write anything else but whatever I say will be an understatement. The kid is phenomenal from the field and hits shots at a consistent clip. Isn't afraid to mix it up, doing the dirty work from rebounding, getting loose balls, and causing jump ball situations. Plays tough defense, along with her ability to score, she is one of the next big things to come out of the state. Look for her to continue to jump up the charts as she already has power 5 offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='822483' first='Ava' last='Zenner'] (5'6/ Fr./ PG/ FRA)- One of the best young Pgs in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='822483' first='Ava' last='Zenner'] can hoop with the best of them. A saucy point guard who can score the rock on all 3 levels, but has amazing court vision where she feeds her teammates with precision. She is a selfless ballplayer who will pass up a shot for a better one. Locks up on D and really just provides both quality and stability from a primary position. A phenomenal ball handler who is hungry and willing to do whatever it takes for her ball club to win. Keep an eye out for this kid as she continues to knock down doors.

[player_tooltip player_id='513239' first='Michelle' last='Shields'] (5'10/Jr./PG/ Unaka)- Big guard who can fill it up from multiple spots on the floor as well as facilitate the rock. A hungry competitor who just grinds away at the opposition. A heady floor general who is an exceptional leader. Scrappy defender who gets deflections and steals. The more she plays, the better she gets, adding to her arsenal of moves to score the basketball. A poised player who doesn't get rattled and enjoys being the target of who teams must stop. A special talent who gets after it and gets it done.
