Mitten Summer Showdown: 2028 Peak Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The LBI Mitten Summer Showdown included top Michigan travel teams from all high school classes on Sunday, July 7th. Prior to coaching my 2025 team at the tournament, I had the opportunity to evaluate many prospects during the morning/early afternoon sessions. She buried many 3s from the wings and up top then showed her ability as a distributor to drive and dish an assist in transition. Adalyn fired a strong pass down the floor to open teammates, deflected the ball, and caused steals on defense. She stole the ball away, scored an and-one layup, then hit her free throw. Ally used a phenomenal spin dribble in the low post to score a left layup off the glass. She scored with her left-off two, battled to secure an offensive rebound then scored another left-off two. She dished a great assist off a screen, split defenders with a crossover to score a floater, and ripped the ball away on defense to start a fast break. Jana used good pivot footwork in the paint and scored a full-speed layup in transition after creating a steal.
