Schools from different geographic locations competed on campus to give spectators a wonderful day of basketball. Here are a few prospects who stood out during their time on the court.
Alexis is a gritty guard who made plays on both ends to help her team be successful at MSU Team Camp. Alexis has tight handles and used crossovers to create space off the dribble. She scored with a great jump-stop step-through finish in the paint, finished hard takes to the rim, and earned free throws. Alexis forced many turnovers with her ball pressure and has a knack for stealing the ball without fouling. Her toughness, physical strength, and leadership on the court stand out. Alexis is a PG to keep an eye on this winter for Haslett.

Kassidy has had a strong spring and added another feather to her cap at MSU Team Camp on Wednesday. She created steals with her pressure and finished layups in transition. Kassidy threw a great lead pass over the defense for a transition layup. She stole the ball, pushed the ball, and buried a corner 3 in transition. Kassidy has immediately made an impact with Renaissance at the Varsity level this summer and we hope to see her at our Freshman Showcase on August 25th.

Meredith Helmus was an OK Conference HM soccer player this spring, but she proved herself on the basketball court at MSU Team Camp on Wednesday. Meredith used crossovers against athletic guards, beat the pressure, and drove hard to the basket for layups. She attacked downhill off the dribble with quick bursts and knocked down a long two off the dribble. Meredith competed at a high level and is a prospect to see on South Christian.
Cammryn was an impact player for South Christian at MSU Team Camp on Wednesday and she did a little bit of everything to help her team compete against a tough opponent. She led the team as a verbal communicator on both ends of the floor and threw an outstanding overhead entry pass on a rope through traffic. Cammryn accelerated off the dribble to beat her defender and score a contested layup; she knocked down a free throw with great technique. Cammryn worked hard to defend inside and challenge shots. She is a dynamic wing/forward who schools should check out.

Kate is a tough forward who battles inside on both ends and is continuing to show progress as a shooter outside. She is an effective face-up forward who has the quickness off the dribble to attack and score at the rim. Kate finished contested layups and earned free throws with her downhill drives. She battles for rebounds and will not quit on a play. Kate has high potential as a college prospect and is a special forward prospect at Rockford.

Aubrey Moore Aubrey Moore 5'6" | PG Bay City John Glenn | 2028 MI was an impressive 2028 prospect at SVSU Team Camp on Wednesday. She caught a pass in the corner, paused to freeze her defender, and then drove by to score a floater. Aubrey stole the ball multiple times on defense and demonstrated her range by knocking down a corner 3. What caught my attention specifically was her toughness. Aubrey left the game after a painful injury but returned later to compete with her team. She has the potential in skill and character to be a great player and we hope to see her at the Freshman Showcase on August 25th.
