The annual Run 4 Roses Classic tournament is underway in Louisville, Kentucky, with more than 80 courts in use. Below is a quick look at several final prospects who stood out on Day-2 when I was able to see them.

.

A.J. is a strong, compact guard with a little length. She plays low to the ground, protects the basketball, and she's able to find open teammates. She is also an aggressive, attacking style of scorer who likes to penetrate and score inside the paint. She does have a little touch outside, but she's better off the bounce. She will need to get a little quicker laterally to be able to defend the quickest of water-bug point guards, but she is a tough kid who does work hard.

Miley is a really nice prospect and still-developing talent. She even has a chance at drawing some Division-I attention over the next year, if some things start coming together for her. She is tall for a wing, extremely long, she has a wiry strength to her frame, and she's a nice, fluid athlete. She has some skill at all three levels, and she works hard to be productive. But I would like to see her almost be a little more selfish with the ball and try to be a 15 to 17 point, 8 rebound per game player each time out.

Shantel popped up on my radar in May with her play, also in Louisville. She is a long-for-her-size, strong, and athletic guard. She is an attacking scorer, very good at getting to the hoop and finishing through contact. She had a couple of nice finishes Friday in the game I was able to see. She has the skill to be a point guard, but I think she has more of a scorer's mentality at this time. She could also become an elite defender with her physical ability.

I have seen Jordan for a couple of years now, and she is a long & wiry lefty. She looks a little stronger, also a little taller, and she might be closer to 5-9 now. She has always been a very good perimeter shooter, but now she's starting to finish better inside, she's more active on the boards, and she is using her length and athleticism to affect the game more often at the defensive end of the floor. I don't know that she'll ever be a point guard, but she can initiate the offense from time to time.

Friday was my first time seeing Alivia, and she has good size, strength, and length for her age. She is tall enough and strong enough to play more of a '2' role, plus she can shoot it a little. She also has nice ball skill, handles pressure fairly well, and can play some point guard. She is a nice North/South athlete, but learning how to play lower, quicker laterally, and being able to get gaps should help her be a more effective playmaker at the Varsity level.

Giniya is a nice-sized, strong, athletic frontline prospect. She is still growing and figuring it all out, but she flashes a great deal of potential. She likes to seek contact and fight for her spot around the paint, and as soon as she learns to play just a little lower, she could become a powerful presence there. She works hard and is building her skill from the block to the mid-post, plus she has shown enough upside that she recently picked up her first offer from Division-I Chicago State.

Se'Rae was a nice find by the Gym Rats this Spring, and despite her size, she is strong, quick, fast, and feisty. She was so good at times, that she has earned a "promotion" from the 15U EYBL team to the 17U EYBL team for July. Friday she was extremely active in what time she saw, digging into opposing guards and causing turnovers, aggressively pushing it in transition, finding open teammates, and not once really looking intimidated or overwhelmed. She'll be one to follow in 2028.
