Standout Wings I-35 Showcase: Oklahoma Class 2025

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>First I would like to say thank you to the 1-35 group for hosting such an amazing event. The college coaches ranged from D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO levels. Which was a perfect fit for many of the teams I watched. I am sure phones are ringing and offers being made while I am posting this article. I focused on the Class 2025 first as they are almost sadly finishing their AAU time. A high level scorer facing the basket as she possesses a strong offensive skill set. The type of player that can fill up a stat sheet with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. A possible double double every time she touches the floor. The old school in me would list her as a slasher type or known as the 3. Handles the ball well enough to get by her defender with the first step and the athleticism takes over on how she will score. The type of player that beats her man on a quick back door cut for a bucket. I have watched JaMiya over the past few years since she stood out at a Top 250 couple years back and her game has progressed. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Defensibly thrives in a up tempo press or some type of man defense where she can use her quickness. Explosive jumper that can come flying in for a rebound out of nowhere. A type of player to keep an eye on as the summer continues. Nykaiya is the type of guard that quick enough to play front of the press for the steal but physical enough to take the hit on the layup for the And ! finish. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An excellent scorer going downhill creating contact to assure she was going to score. Nice mid range game with pull ups off the dribble. Fierce offensive rebounder that can get you the putback on a miss shot. I did not see her outside shot but it was not needed as her team had the shooters. A small forward that can stroke the outside shot but has the footwork to post up as well. I have seen Vanessa play for awhile and she has always been a excellent 3 point shooter. I think her downhill game has really improved which makes her a tougher match up now. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Vanessa is a tall guard that can play the shooter or small forward at the next level. The smoothness she plays with is fun to watch. I am not sure where her recruiting status but at 5'11 and long with those skills I am sure interest and offers will be coming. Deferential a player to watch this upcoming schools season </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1140879' first='Teague' last='Muncy'] 5'11 Guard Dale High School [program_tooltip program_id='712936' first='Team' last='Oklahoma'] </strong>At 5'11 is a long combo guard that is an outstanding athlete as well. Quick feet and get ball instincts in the zone press led to many deflections or steals. A high level offensive skill set that can shoot the 3 and attack the rim off the dribble. An impressive athlete that is among the top scorers in her school class. Showed a nice outside jumper from the 3 point line in the drive and kick concepts. Attacks the rim very well from about 18 feet out finding the gaps to convert for the layup. Moves well without the ball scoring on several back door cuts. Good hands around the rim catching several pass for the soft touch off the glass for baskets. Bentile has a very solid weekend on both ends of the court. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>First time watching play and look forward to keeping up with her the rest of the summer and upcoming school season.
