Super 64 Saturday Notes

Diffidently a catch and shoot type player that need almost no space to get the shot off. Played point at times Saturday bringing the ball down in certain situations. Moves great on offense off the ball using multiple of screens to get open. Fast in transition with the ball pushing up the floor with the dribble or pass. Patient with the ball on the moves using up/under and nice drop step pin to score at times. Runs the floor with hands ready to catch and finish on layups. Nice outside and mid range shot on offense. Great handles, vision, shoot, and get your team in the right situations. A point guad that looks to get her teammates in a high percentage scoring situation. Pushes the ball up the court with great handles and 3/4 court passes to teammates filling the lane. Again the press stayed posed and patient finding the gaps on the press breaker</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense she drew the other teams leading scorer both games I watched. Caught red on from downtown knocking down 3 in a row to my unofficial account that changed the game. A great baseline driver that showed finished with a nice floater to avoid the block shot. Scrappy defender that did not mind getting in the mix of things for a loose ball. Great lateral movement on the ball not giving up much space nor direct drives. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>My first time watching Ava play this weekend. Handles the ball with poise and lot of bounce. A shooting guard that you must fight over the screen to defend the 3 point shot. In the pick and roll game does such an amazing job at letting it develop and making a sharp pass to the roller. Never seemed to get rattled with the double team always reading the defense to find the open player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>My first time watching Crystal play and a fun player to watch. An aggressive physical driver to the rim that can handle the contact for a score and an And 1. Moves great without the ball always sliding to the open spot for a possible scoring opportunity. Showed a nice mid range shot from about 15 feet with a great lift on the shot. One time down she could be posting up a smaller player and next time down shooting a 3 from the outside. A match problem for some teams when she plays the 3 spot and teams switch all screens. Even if the defense jams her for a no face cut they are too small and the pass goes over the top. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Excellent defender on the help rotation protecting the rim with the block shot. I witness a nice smooth drive to the rim sliding in and out of players for the finished layup. Next time down she is spotted up knocking down the 3 pointer. Handles the ball with control and eyes up making crisp passes to her teammates for scoring opportunities. Moves great without the ball keeping proper spacing on offense. Solid cuts to the rim on curls with hands ready for the catch and finish. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After watching her play I can see why she earned defensive player of the year for her school team this season.
