To close out my last full day in Wisconsin for a while, I want to continue highlighting some under-the-radar kids, this time in the 2027 class. Plenty of kids have been solid all summer, and I haven't highlighted as much throughout the AAU season.

The Bay Port native does a little of everything. Williams is a solid athlete who gets after it on the defensive end of the floor and rebounds her position at a high level, which shows her competitive mentality. I've also been surprised about how well she's scored the ball with her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] group because I didn't know much about her heading into the AAU season, but every time I've seen her, she's made plays on both ends of the floor. I don't know if anyone has helped themselves as much as Williams has in this AAU season.

The youngest Werner is nothing like Maggie or MiKayla. Mallorie is a 5'6 guard who uses her athleticism to fly around the court on both ends. Mallorie is an excellent athlete who can get up and down the floor in fast-paced games for 36 minutes without any problem, which could help this season at Hortonville. She's shown her talents this summer as a creator by her willingness to get downhill and put pressure on defenses around the basket. Hortonville has an excellent basketball culture, and I'm eager to see how she thrives within that program.

One of the roles that gets looked past is connectors. Players who move the ball, sprint in off-ball actions, and can fit passes into small windows are more valuable now than ever when there's so much guard talent in AAU. Grudzielanek doesn't have to score a point to frustrate opposing defenses, and that may be more impressive than kids who can score 20. She looked outstanding when her Playground Elite team played All Iowa Attack at Summer Jam. Her group excelled in the first half whenever she was on the floor, which I thought did her justice, even though I don't think she scored more than ten points.

If memory serves correctly, I believe this is Remiker's first AAU season. Regardless, Remiker has shown potential when I've seen her play, and she's been steadily improving all AAU season and played well in her team's title game at Summer Jam. She's a 6'0 wing with plenty of room to grow and has a guard's motor skills. She can handle the ball without looking at every dribble and keeps improving her perimeter game. The Ashwaubenon native has shown some flashes of brilliance this Spring/Summer.
