2024-25 Individual Offseason Player Evals: The 2025's Part 1

Washburn has one of the most fun backcourts in the state returning with '26 [player_tooltip player_id='899854' first='Ebany' last='Hill'] and '25 [player_tooltip player_id='409020' first='Saylor' last='Clay']. They are both averaged 16+ points a game, and were amongst the state leaders in 3 pointers made. Not many teams in Washburn's division will who two defenders that can shut down these two young ladies. They will certainly make a state title run.   Clay has improved every year, and isn't just a scoring. She's really improved her ability to attack a bad closeout and make a play off the bounce. She had a nice summer for [program_tooltip program_id='713260' first='ETA' last='Thunder'] '25 (Sizemore) and looks to build on a great career.     Behind N. Hodge, West is likely the best PG in the Knoxville area. She's always been one of the better passing and facilitating PG's in the state, but it was her scoring game that took a real jump last season. Her float game is strong. Has a nice hesi. Knows how to manipulate defense with, not just her eyes, but also her shoulders. Really deceptive, and gets to her spots.   West has worked extremely hard to become a consistent shooter. While her size isn't great, she's also an above average rebounder for her position. She has all the tools in her bag to be one of the best PGs in the state, and lead Hardin Valley to a successful season. The recent UVA-Wise commit continues to work hard at her craft and deserves a great season.     2025 forward, and recent MTSU commit, had 17 Pts, 10 Rebs, 6 Blocks & 5 Assts to lead Wayne Co (TN) to a 47-37 win vs Collinwood in District 11A Champ Game! Blair was named All-District & District 11A Player of the Year. She's simply phenomenal, and was named Ms. TN her sophomore year, and was a finalist last season. She's a double-double machine averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds a game. She's truly diversified her skill set and is looking to prove herself as guard/wing with shooting and playmaking off the dribble. Her size/athleticism makes her a legitimate threat across the statistical board.     Ferguson has had a terrific season for Davey Crocket leading them to one of the better first half performances of any team in the state. Ferguson leads their offensive attack as an pass-first who's managed to put up big numbers: avering around 9 assists a game the past two seasons (which puts her among the leaders in the state).   She isn't only a distributor though, she also chipped in 10 points a game last season, and started to make defenses hurt from the perimeter. She's a really high level on the ball defender as well.   Had a nice exposure season with [program_tooltip program_id='713848' first='Nautilus' last='Express'] and is looking to pick up more offers. Extremely high IQ and with a nice skill set. Makes everyone around her better.     Rainey is an old school post that looks to battle in the paint. She tough and physical, and doesn't back down. She allows her guards to gamble a bit defensively because of her length protecting the rim. Averaged nearly 9 points and 10 rebounds a game while shooting 50% from the floor.   I think she's an undervalued player. Has nice length and athleticism. Really gets after it on defense. Doesn't put up huge numbers on offense, but it's also not her role. Her role is to do the little things, and score with a high percentage when needed....and she does her job really well.
