I've said it once and I'll say it again, [player_tooltip player_id='582831' first='Joelle' last='Johnson'] of the 2025 Class in Iowa is one of the hardest working and most dedicated prospects that I've had a chance of evaluating the past couple of years at the high school level. Johnson competes with a smaller 2A team in Iowa for Varsity ball so that explains as to why she puts up so many shots and such bigger offensive numbers. Don't be mistaken though, she is someone that could adjust to be a vital part of any collegiate team that she could get a shot to compete with. She is smart enough to understands her strengths and to know that when she has talented prospects on the floor around her, that it's a team game and that is what is going to bring everyone the most success. Last year as a Junior she averaged over 21 PPG and I expect those type of numbers once again, over these next twelve months to cap off her high school career at Pleasantville.

I'm not sure of the attention that [player_tooltip player_id='524262' first='Sydney' last='Doeschot'] has right now from the collegiate level but whatever it is, it's certainly not enough. Doeschot is a gift offensive weapon, a talented scorer of the basketball, an able and willing creator/facilitator, and a great teammate. She has a smooth and shifty handle, helping her beat any 1v1 matchup down the floor, and this is all just tip of the iceberg type stuff. All in all, I have watched Doeschot compete for 3 years now and on every floor, she is a winner. Which is an attribute some players just have and you can't really teach from a coaching perspective.

[player_tooltip player_id='671467' first='Leah' last='Weaver'] of West Fork High School has shown off a mixture of length, skill, athletic ability, and awareness the past three Varsity seasons with West Fork. Weaver has also done a great job of taking these talents and having them producer on the AAU floor as well over her past few seasons, demonstrating on any floor and against any competition that she can producer on both sides of the basketball. I will be in to see Weaver and her West Fork team compete this next season. If they play to their full capabilities, they will put together a respectable year and I'm sure their recruitment will continue to grow as a group.

To average OVER 19 PPG, 6 RPG, 5 APG, and 5 SPG is no easy feat but that is what [player_tooltip player_id='842537' first='Nora' last='Peterson'] of Alta-Aurelia High School did last season on the Varsity floor. Peterson is really her team's heart and soul. They have a solid system with some decent prospects but they're real baller for their upcoming season, that is going to put up more major numbers by the looks of it is Peterson. We have featured Peterson the past few Winters because of her production. She has averaged the numbers I mentioned above for basically her whole career now and that has landed her within the Top 10 in PPG, returning from a year ago out of the 2A Class. A stat worth understanding and being aware of.

Not only is [player_tooltip player_id='832210' first='Taryn' last='Petersen'] of Exira-EHK High School is not only a 2A Class leader in PPG returning this Winter but she also averaged the most SPG for her 2A Class with over 5.5 Steals Per Game. This number is staggering because it shows that she is not only a great offensive weapon for her team to rely on but also someone that mixes it up and makes the most of her chances on defense too, leading into the offensive side of her play-style. This is another situation where Petersen is going to come into this Winter and be looked upon to lead once again. Something I'm sure she will be ready for when the time comes.
