As we move into the Fall and eventually the High School season this Winter, we are going to be covering the high school level in every way possible. To start us off, we are going to highlight five uncommitted prospects out of Class A, that led the state last season with multiple double-doubles throughout the year in one way or another.

23-24 stats: 10.7 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 1 APG, 1.1 SPG, 1 BPG, 2.9 TPG, 9 DD

I'm assuming that [player_tooltip player_id='747245' first='Addison' last='Medeck'] will be an uncommitted prospect up until her Senior season at PLVS High School. Medeck is the top ranking overall player out of the 2027 Class in Nebraska at the moment and she is starting to field more and more offers as the days pass by. As a Freshman, Medeck had the second most double-doubles throughout the state in Class A with 9, only following 2024 graduate, Doneelah Washington of Lincoln Northeast High School. I'm excited to see what other offers come in for Medeck prior to her Sophomore year these next few months. She is a force to be reckoned with at 6'2 and she is only going to be better so really anyone in the country could offer her at this time and I wouldn't be surprised. There is a lot of potential here and she has put together a solid foundation to build on moving forward.

23-24 stats: 11.1 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 1.2 APG, 1 SPG, .5 BPG, 1.5 TPG, 6 DD

Another great sized, smart minded, and coordinated prospect that should be uncommitted for a good amount of time still is [player_tooltip player_id='747368' first='Kylee' last='Paben'] of Millard West. Paben is a noteworthy individual on the hardwood not only because of her size at 6'1 but she has proven that she stands out on the floor with other high ranking prospects, which means more than you might imagine. Sometimes a college coach won't fully know how a player is going to translate to the next level once they play with better individuals, unless they see them do so in some facet before hand. In Paben's case, she is competes with a high level high school team and AAU program so she has those bases covered. She is someone that is always producing, no matter who is competing around her and that says a lot.

23-24 stats: 20 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.9 SPG 1 BPG, 4 TPG, 7 DD

Wilson-Smith was someone that everyone sort of knew about prior to her Freshman year at Bellevue East High School but she proved to be one of the better prospects throughout the entire state of Nebraska as the season went on and I'm sure she is going to do the same thing throughout the rest of her high school career. Last Winter, Wilson-Smith averaged one of the highest PPG in the state and she did just as well this AAU season with her [program_tooltip program_id='712924' first='Team' last='Factory'] program. Her natural ability to score the ball from all three offensive levels, especially shooting it from deep is impressive to say the least. Up until this point, she has received some college interest but just wait. Give it another year and she is going to blow up if she keeps progressively expanding her game on both sides of the ball.

From my understanding Dalton isn't committed yet but she has to be nearing that point. She has demonstrated throughout her high school career that she is a high level volleyball prospect as well so I'm sure that could be higher up on her list than basketball but it doesn't take away from the fact that she almost averaged a double-double as a Junior, while being a dominant rebounder on both sides of the glass. If she decides to go out for her Senior season, I'm sure she will continue to have identical numbers until her high school career comes to a close. Ambition is priceless and Dalton displays that whenever she is competing, no matter the sport.

Lewis is a physical player, that knows how to use her mixture of size and finesse to beat almost anyone matching up against her. This is someone that could turn into the best prospect out of her Class by the time she reaches her Senior season if she has the correct guidance and determination to improve over these next few seasons. As a Freshman she averaged near a double-double with 11/9 and I think she is only going to get better with time but we will have wait and see. Either way though, right now there is no doubt she is a top prospect in more ways than one moving into this Fall.
