Film School: Breaking Down The Tape

Watch the film: she's a legit 3 level scorer that plays with a great feel for the game. Doesn't force anything. Let's the game come to her. She's a consistent threat from three, and is becoming a bigger threat in the mid area with a developing floater. She's gone from a 6'3 athlete that plays basketball, to a basketball player that happens to both be 6'3 and athletic. She's developed legit touch around the rim, and when she catches deep, she's either scoring or shooting free throws. She's looked comfortable this summer playing facing the rim, and has become a matchup nightmare. Bigs can't stay in front of her, and littles are too small. Pick your poison.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Her shooting has taken nice strides, but her free throw percentage is still a bit low. Her mechanics look good, and it might just be a matter of reps. She's beginning to step out and shoot the three a bit, and that will eventually be her ceiling. She's a confident ball handler that can get to her spots. She finds cutters as a passer and always keeps her eyes up. Really nice stroke from three, especially off the catch--nice 1-2 step footwork. Is able to knock shots down off the dribble. Has the potential to be a matchup threat vs smaller guards as she has a decent back to the basket game, and her turn around jumper is her "go to" shot in these situation. Her effort and will to win make her a great rebounder for her position. High level shot maker that can score both inside and out. Instinctual scorer that doesn't has to think too much; she just finds a way. Not very big, but seems to play bigger. Highly competitive and gets after it on both ends. Above average shot make both off the catch or off the dribble. Continues to improve as a playmaker off the bounce with nice vision and IQ. Does a great job defensively moving her feet and truly understand "man to man" concepts.
