A non-profit group called My Father's Plan organized a late summer high school tournament which was supposed to feature 8 Baltimore area teams. Two last minute drops made it a six-team field, but it turned out to be competitive event anyway. Archbishop Spalding won the inaugural Lewis League championship with a double-digit, hard-fought win over Mt. Carmel.

Lily Ajok Deng, Mt. Carmel, 2026, Center

Lily is an imposing 6'4" with outstanding length. She has an excellent face-up game and was really impressive blowing by defenders and finishing with Euro-step moves. She moves very well for her size and has good footwork. She is still working on her post-up game, but she is definitely dangerous in the paint due to her size and ability to finish. She moves her feet well on defense and was able to switch out on the perimeter and contain smaller players. D1 colleges are all over her and more will be coming around.

[player_tooltip player_id='370206' first='Whitley' last='Watkins'], Archbishop Spalding, 2025, Center

The 6'3" Loyola recruit had a solid tournament and at times was dominant. She's a great rebounder and has added the three-point shot to her arsenal. She did enough good things to lead her team to the championship with two wins over the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='943414' first='Eden' last='Berry'], Archbishop Spalding, 2027, Guard

Eden was a 695Hoops All-Freshman Team selection last season, and she looks like she's ready to come back with a strong follow-up season. The versatile guard play strong on-ball defense, helped out on the glass and moved easily between both guard spots. She made some clutch shots and free throws in the championship game to help her team close the deal.

Mckenzie Fitzgerald, Forest Park, 2026, Guard

McKenzie was a ball of energy on both ends of the floor. Defensively she was a menace on the ball and in the passing lanes. She used her speed and jumping ability to disrupt and cause chaos. She got into the paint repeatedly and broke down the defense which created easy opportunities for her teammates.

Khloe Stewart, Forest Park, 2028, Power Forward

Khloe showed why she will step right into some minutes in the space vacated by Chaniya Taylor. Khloe has good size and battles on the boards on every possession. Her size and work rate will get her on the court when the season starts.

[player_tooltip player_id='785467' first='Calia' last='Carter'], New Town, 2026, Guard

Calia showed up to compete and went hard from the opening tip. She's a tough guard that played with an edge, attacking off the dribble and challenging bigger players. She used her dribble moves to create space and she made some tough contested shots. She went hard on defense and hit the floor several times going after loose balls.

[player_tooltip player_id='433839' first='Kiamyani' last='Scott'], Rosedale Christian, 2026, Guard

Kiki was a force in their game against Western, pulling off a double-double. She led her team in scoring and rebounding and caused match-ups problems throughout the game with her speed and ability to score from all over the court.
