In my last article I wrote about little known prospects who will be arriving on the scene this upcoming season. I wanted to continue on the theme and talk about some other little known prospects who are in their first days of classes in new environments. Yes, some are probably overwhelmed right now with being in amongst new surroundings, classes, friends, ect. However, when practice starts and you are in that gymnasium, I guarantee you there will be a sense of normality. I believe Brandon Clay down in Georgia said it best “Any Gym Is Home.” Once you are there, you are where you are supposed to be.

As we continue throughout the year, we will uncover more players within these borders. There are 423+ high schools in this state, as you can see, that's a lot of hoopers. No need to do the math, but as you all know, there is tons of talent out there. The beauty of it all, they all are not the same. Each kid has their own unique thumbprint which they bring to the game. Different skills, different abilities, but all with a common goal.

Enough of the sentimental stuff, here are some other little known prospects we have uncovered along the way thus far. These kids will eventually see the hardwood, but in due time. Like anyone else, they are going to have to put in the work and put their time in. Some sooner rather than later, but eventually these kids will be solid contributors to their prospective programs. Here are some kids who will be suiting up for some high schools near you.

[player_tooltip player_id='1239176' first='Kinlee' last='Stutts'] (5'8/Fr./F/Loretto)- Solid contributor who just works her tail off. This kid has a knack for being around the basketball. Offensively yes, she can shoot 3s, but her ability to put the ball on the floor and get a bucket is pretty impressive. Also, I love how she is able to keep plays alive. Offside rebounds and finishing through contact is what she does best. Defensively, she's heavy on the boards, on the floor for loose balls, and blocks shots as well. Solid contributor with a bright future.

Jayda Davis (5'5/Fr./G/ Clarksville Academy)- A go getter who is always hungry for more. She can shoot the 3, but her mid-range game is really nice. She is a nuisance on the defensive end, where she makes it difficult for her opponents to operate. A great communicator, always talking and helping her teammates out. What I love about her most is her ability to play through tough situations and keep grinding away. The game is a seesaw match and she is able to ride the waves in strides. This kid is going to be something special and when it all clicks, she's going to be a nice solid prospect.

Ryleigh Mullen (5'10/Fr./F/Oakland)- Love her size and ability, she is very versatile. Can play on the perimeter, but also bang down low. Does all the little things right and with poise. She is heavy on the boards, smooth in transition, if she is around the painted area, she finishes nicely. Defensively, she is hard to deal with. She is physical and not too many people like mixing it up with her. She is going to be something special and when she is on, it's hard stopping her.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155244' first='Sara' last='Rogers'] (5'8/Fr./F/ Davidson Academy)- Solid contributor who just does all things. She can score from multiple spots on the floor, but her ability to be used in different sets to take advantage of mismatches is what she does best. Has nice range to her game, contributes in multiple statistical categories, this young lady is going to be a solid well rounded ball player who just goes out and executes. Look for her to carve out some minutes and contribute early for the Lady Bears.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155048' first='Destini' last='Ligons'] (6'1/Fr./C/ Blackman)- Young player who is coming into her own. Once she figures it all out, she's going to be scary. Dominant around the blocks, she has some nice back to the basket moves where she can finish over either shoulder. She is great with getting put backs, giving her team second and third chance opportunities. Defensively, she clogs up the lane, challenges opponents down low, and blocks shots. Needless to say, she's a problem around the basket and she owns the boards on either end. Once it all clicks, she's going to be another solid prospect who comes out of the Blackman program.

[player_tooltip player_id='822482' first='Jala' last='Keller'] (5'6/Fr./G/ Bradley Central)- She may not see the court this year, but in due time, this young lady is going to be a nice addition. Has nice handles, good court vision, can finish from multiple spots on the floor. She gets after it on both ends and you can tell when she is out there, she enjoys the game. Bradley is obviously loaded, but having someone like her in the pipeline is a nice addition waiting in the wings. A solid kid who will be ready when her time comes.
