I made the trip out to Emmitsburg, Maryland to the beautiful campus of Mount Saint Mary's for their annual Elite Camp. The staff did a great job with their presentation and organization which gave quite a few prospects the chance to shine. They have a nice set-up with four courts side by side which made it easy for viewing.

Lyla was one of the youngest players at the camp but she still managed to impress and turn some heads. The 8th grader showed a good grasp of fundamentals as she finished around the hoop with both hands and threw accurate, two-handed passes. She showed off range on her shot from the 3-point line and she moves fluidly without a lot of wasted motion. She fought hard on defense, getting around picks and using her strength to prevent bigger players from posting her up. Lots of potential here.

Emily Forrester, Chambersburg, 2027, Forward/Wing

This was my second time viewing Emily this month at a camp. She was equally impressive here, showing off a nice turnaround jumper to go with her nifty footwork in the paint. She does a really good job of establishing post position and holding it until she can receive the pass. She went home with another D1 offer for her efforts as the Mount made their move on her.

[player_tooltip player_id='788028' first='Arisa' last='Hardy'], Williamsport, 2027, Shooting Guard

Arisa has excellent size for the position at a long 5'11". She's an unselfish player and it was refreshing to see a player look to facilitate and pass first in these environments. She has good court vision and passes the ball accurately, but her biggest skill is scoring the ball. She looked comfortable scoring from all three levels and played some solid defense as well.

Jordyn Williams, York Suburban, 2027, Point Guard

Slick, 5'7" guard that was in attack mode most of the day. She's a really crafty scorer with good footwork and a nice touch.

Tough point guard with deep range on her three-point shot. I like how she is always vocal and showing leadership on the court. She's an intense competitor with a strong motor and she gets into the paint easily with her explosive first step. She has good upper body strength which allows her to finish in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='732189' first='Jada' last='Ramos-Diggs'], James Madison, 2026, Point Guard

Physical 5'5" guard that hounded ball handlers all day. She was a menace on defense and routinely challenged bigger players when she had the ball. She is strong so she was able to finish through contact at the basket, but she also has a nice shot from the perimeter.
