PGH Freshman Showcase: Team 2 Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2028 Michigan class is loaded and we were so excited to see so many of them compete at our Freshman Showcase on August 25th, 2024. Our unique format included 5 hours of games split up into predetermined 3v3, 5v5, and pool play to end the event. Every participant will receive a write-up in our articles, which is something unique and special about Prep Girls Hoops showcases. My coverage focused primarily on teams 1, 2, and 6. She spent the day aggressively chasing offensive rebounds to provide her team with extra scoring chances. She consistently delivered dimes to a cutting teammate for easy buckets. She is an intense defender who was causing havoc for her opponents all day. She knocked down shots from behind the arc and absorbed contact at the rim with some impressive footwork as a guard. She is a shifty guard who can create for herself or get her teammates open. She has great body control once she gets into the lane and can finish with an array of finishes. She is a two-way player who never takes a play off on either end of the court. She is so good in the open floor with next-level handles and passing abilities. She had a spin move she used in the lane and it was tough to guard. She runs the floor hard in transition and was always willing to be unselfish and make the extra pass to an open teammate for a better shot. She showed she could handle the ball under pressure situations when her team was getting pressed. She worked hard on the defensive end, intercepting some passes and taking them coast-to-coast. She attacked the rim fearlessly and wasn't afraid of contact. Despite being a smaller guard, she worked hard on the offensive glass and even scored a couple of put-back baskets. She is a high-IQ player any coach would love to have on the floor. She is shifty with the ball in her hands and has great body control when she gets in the lane. She showed off an impressive step-back 3 from the wing. Ally moves well without the ball, and her teammates did a great job of finding her when she was slashing. She is strong around the rim and managed to finish many contested shots. She also served as a rim protector, tallying multiple blocks on the day. Although she may be small in stature, she makes up for it with determination. She fought for numerous offensive rebounds, providing her team with more scoring opportunities. Additionally, she had multiple blocks against taller players.
