Standout Guards : MAYB National Pool Play

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To be able to stand-out at guard in National play really shows the level some of these girls are at. From Amarillo area guards, to players from Missouri and western Oklahoma, all were ready to show up and show out. The teams that she sees in Class 3A this year are not going to be happy about it. Has good connection with former high school teammate Aiyanna Mason. Quick with a nice jumper, fiery competitor. Givens is a very talented floor general. Multi-level scorer that started to heat up from behind the arc, and also convert at the line. High arcing shot that she is able to get over defenders as they close out, can go around them if they get too close. For a 5'3' guard, I actually saw her take her girl into the post on more than one occasion. Very active offensively. She's more of a shooting guard on offense, but guards the other team's point guard and does a terrific job at it. Passes on the move very well. Whole Elite team played a really good man-to-man where they were switching often.
