When Alva got it going in the second half, Blackledge was hitting jumpers in the 15-18 foot range. Leading to a game high 13 points for the senior. She's strong and physical as well, with tough plays around the hoop. Alva has reached the State Tournament four straight years and this is the second straight semifinal appearance for the Lady Bugs.

Just like the Mustang Holiday Classic a few months ago, when Ohm catches the ball with the defender on her back it's pretty much over. Joined Blackledge in double figures with 11 points. Has a nice shimmy and other moves to create the space needed to get off shots around the rim. Swatted a shot and affected many more with her strength and playing disciplined defense.

12:00 PM

Adair 60

Anadarko 29

One of the magic aspects of March is seniors shining under the bright lights in the biggest and possibly final moments. Grubbs' early sharpshooting made sure Wednesday as her brightest moment and it won't be her last. She was on fire from three in the first half. And the rim must've looked as big as the ocean when she went 4-7 from three.

That hot start by Grubbs helped Adair reach the semifinals for the first time since 2019. Ended up in double figures in the first half, including a pair of threes. Fantastic energy on the defensive end as well. Sanders is clearly playing her part in Adair's title push.

Schwerdtfeger was her usual do it all self for the Lady Warriors as she flirted with a triple double. Going for 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. If the Lady Warriors hadn't let their foot off the gas in the final quarter and ran clock, she likely would've got it. She's developed into an all around lead guard, handling pressure and setting up her teammates with ease. While still having her hard hat wearing, physical driving and rebounding ways.

Slow start for Bond, but she still found her way to a third straight double double. This time with a team high 17 points and 11 rebounds. To go along with her rebounding and finishing, her brick wall type mentality gives the Lady Warriors a clear edge as they go for the school's fifth Gold Ball.

1:30 PM

Tahlequah Sequoyah 47

Millwood 46

The heady senior guard put the team on her back in the first half, scoring 12 of her team's 20 points. Finished with 20 and added 11 rebounds in a do it all performance. She hit a pair of free throws in the final seconds that gave the Lady Indians the cushion needed to win. Then the next possession like a WR, she broke loose against the press and dribbled out the clock to secure the one point victory. She's been a gamer all year long and helped a squad filled with perseverance to the 3A semifinals.

A modest box score performance with 4 points, 2 rebounds and a steal. But she made one of the biggest contributions of the night that went beyond the box score. In the final minute she slid over and took a huge charge which helped the Lady Indians secure their victory. It's the type of moment that Culie, her teammates and community will remember forever.

With the offense stuck in the mud in the second half, Carey provided a spark. It started with a triple, which opened up the driving lanes for a pair of tough finishes. Had 14 points, tying for a team high. She's had an outstanding junior campaign. A offensive and defensive mainstay, she was a big part of getting Millwood back on the big stage that they belong on.

McCarroll had 14 points and saved her best for last. Nearly leading a comeback charge by herself. First it was a huge And 1 at the rim. Unfortunately she got a tough call on a similar move a little later. But she stayed locked in and hit a three to try to force miracle comeback with a couple seconds left. Tough guard who can make it happen.
