In this article we highlight five prospects out of the 2026 Class in Nebraska, that have recently been added to our PGH system during this Update. Each individual is someone that has already shown some promise on the high school floor in one way or another and they are looking to build on that over the next two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='946938' first='Jenna' last='Benjamin'] of Skutt Catholic is a player that demonstrates great balance and footwork when shooting the ball from deep, she can take her defender off of the dribble and finish, or she can attack the opponent and create an opportunity for the others around her at a steady rate. I think the best part of Benjamin's game is her versatility. She is someone that can catch on fire from deep in a hurry with her quick release against both zone or man defenses or she can dribble up the rock and play the PG, running her team's offense. Skutt Catholic always puts together productive seasons and I don't expect this one to be any different. For Benjamin individually, I expect her to average good numbers moving into the future and that should get some eyes on her from a recruitment perspective before you know it.

Someone that does a little bit of everything for her Conestoga High School Varsity team is 5'8 - Combo Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='996563' first='Ayla' last='Garrett']. Garrett plays more of the 2 or 3 position for her squad and she gets a lot of her opportunities from finding her own. Usually it's off of a rebound or because of some big effort play on the defensive end but either way, Garrett put up solid numbers for her Sophomore season a year ago and I think she is going to be able to use that as a foundation this time around once again during the 24-25 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='996569' first='Lilly' last='Harris'] of Homer High School is a Point Guard that possesses a picture-perfect shooting stroke from deep, a fast and efficient handle, and a smart head on her shoulders. During Harris's Sophomore season at Homer, she averaged just over 8.9 PPG on 37 % shooting. She also doubled the amount that she got to the free throw stripe from the year prior and she also averaged decent numbers in the RPG, SPG, and APG categories. Returning this Winter, this is going to be Homer's main producer from the top of the key. Everything should run through her and if she plays to her full ability, then everyone is going to shine. There is no doubt about it.

The steady progression of [player_tooltip player_id='996561' first='Annika' last='Nelms'] over the past two Varsity seasons has been noticeable and I can only imagine that her goal for her Junior season will be to do even better. Nelms is a 5'11 Forward, that is agile in her movements for her size. I use that term often because it helps people understand that the prospect moves well for their size, even though they might be taller than your average individual. In this case, Nelms has demonstrated some solid gameplay as well, while averaging 4.3 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 1.5 APG during her 2023-2024 campaign. Competing alongside Nelms is her sister and they make quite the duo. I'm excited to see how they do this Winter, coming back to Southwest High School once again.

The Scottsbluff program is one that is loaded with a lot of unique talent at every position and age-level. Someone out of the 2026 Class for this program, that I think could play an impact this next two years is PG, [player_tooltip player_id='997470' first='Heidi' last='Groskopf']. Groskopf works relentlessly on both sides of the floor, never taking a possession off. There is something to say about a prospect that works their tail off to make a difference on the defensive end, while having some solid skill offensively as well and I think that Groskopf embodies that. I'm not sure how their future looks like at this point from a team perspective so we will just have to wait and see.

[player_tooltip player_id='996571' first='Addison' last='Perry'] of Loomis High School is a high-octane competitor, that competes in multiple sports throughout the high school calendar year. Loomis comes in right at 5'3 and she competes from the Shooting Guard position when she is out on the hardwood. At Loomis, Perry is a key contributor in their offensive and defensive game plans, no matter what they may be. Each time she is given a task, she handles it efficiently and professionally. The reality is, if you want to be a SG, you have to be able to shoot consistently and Perry brings thats, along with a chip-on-her-shoulder mentality to the court. A mixture that usually leads to results in one way or another.
