Someone that the state of Iowa doesn't know too much about yet, that has shown a ton of promise up to this point in her career is Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='993993' first='Anna' last='Latham'] of Mason City High School. Latham is going to be her team's main producer for the next three years and she is more than ready. This is someone that has shown time and time again that she can produce on any floor, against any level of competition. It's obviously still early on in her career but at this pace, she is going to finish off her high school days as a top producer not only on her own team, but throughout the entire state of Iowa. Her natural competitive drive is one of the highest I've seen from someone at this age level and I can't wait to see how that plays this upcoming season.

For about the past year, I've seen saying I love the culture change that Norwalk High School has put together. They had a new HC come in and completely change the direction of this program around for the better, because of that, they saw a lot of success as a group last Winter and individually as well. This season, they are hoping to do the same thing and come out the gates firing on all cylinders. Someone out of their underclassmen group to keep an eye out for is [player_tooltip player_id='993994' first='Keragan' last='Van Zante']. Van Zante is the definition of a Wing. She is a knock-down shooter off of the catch at the perimeter, who loves to let it fly as soon as it touches her hands. She does have natural coordination, balance, and strength so she could build on this in a number of different ways with the right guidance moving into the future.

If you go onto any social media, you can tell that [player_tooltip player_id='957827' first='Ellie' last='Wilson'] is an athletic Volleyball prospect. Actually, she happens to be so talented that she is a Top 10 prospect throughout her 2027 Class in the state of Iowa on the Volleyball court and she is looking to have that translate over to the hardwood this Winter. Wilson has solid size at 5'9, a winning attitude, a smart head on her shoulders, and obvious athletic ability. When you combined all of those, you get someone that can definitely help a Varsity program win at any Class level throughout the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='988406' first='Janessa' last='Kolar'] of OABCIG High School is someone that can play a versatile role within her program over the next three years. Kolar stands at around 5'8 and she is more of a "Swiss-army knife" - type of prospect. Defensively, she can be used to stay in the middle and wall up against bigger and more physical opponents or she can stick with smaller guards that she might switch onto. Offensively, she can clean up the glass, maneuver into open space for ample opportunities, and she isn't selfish in the aspect of scoring the ball at a high rate. OABCIG is a smaller school in Iowa so we will see what kind of numbers Kolar can average this next six months. If it's anything like I think, she is going to turn some heads and her team should win some close contests while doing so.

When [player_tooltip player_id='988407' first='Madison' last='Olsasky'] stepped onto the Varsity floor as a Freshman, she almost averaged a double-double in Points and Rebounds by the end of the season. She finished off the year with 7.7 PPG and 7.5 RPG in her team's 22 contests. She also started in every game as well except one, which I'm going to assume was either their first contest of the season or their Senior night. Olsasky is going to have even more of a role during this upcoming season. She is going to be looked at as a veteran leader with the young group she has around her, because of how much experience she has gained the past twelve months. If she continues to get better and strikes when the opportunities presents itself, she is going to thrive over the next few years with the Warhawks.
