To be a, “Stock-Riser”, means a few things depending on how you look at it but the most important factor in my opinion is that the prospect is continuously putting in meaningful work in their off-time and that work is translating to the floor in real game-time. In this piece, we cover five individuals out of this 2027 Class in Nebraska, that have embodied what it means to be a Stock-Riser.

The two-three times that I've seen [player_tooltip player_id='893265' first='Zoe' last='Beveridge'] compete, I was more than satisfied with her performance. She might only be going into her Sophomore season at Gothenburg High School but she checks off a lot of boxes that collegiate recruiters would have for her. First off, she makes everyone else around her better. That's most important. Second, she can basically create her own off of the catch or dribble in a number of ways to get an easy bucket or assist. Third, she has a lot of intangibles. She communicates at a high rate, she is direct in her language, she sacrifices for those around her consistently, and she always looks like one of the most coordinated out on the court. In this Update, Beveridge moves up to the #8 spot in the Class and for good reason moving into the Winter.

In the past I have briefly spoken about [player_tooltip player_id='753083' first='Rowan' last='Swartz'] and where I think she could take things this upcoming season. I still find this to be true and think that Swartz could be the real deal by the time she gets to her upperclassmen years of high school ball. This is someone that has a beautiful shooting stroke off the catch, some solid touch on the ball, and a smart head on her shoulders. I heard she has been working on her defense, rebounding, and creating ability all off-season so we should find out early on in the year if it paid off. With the weapons she has around her to produce, she is going to find a lot of open looks these next few years. If she can be efficient in that aspect, everything else in her arsenal can play off of that ability and that's how she can take things to a whole other untapped level.

[player_tooltip player_id='865313' first='Ansley' last='Elofson'] of Fort Calhoun High School is someone to know if you don't already. If you are familiar with this Class, you need no introductions. If not, Elofson is a Forward, that stands at 6'0 tall with a great mixture of physicality, size, touch, coordination, and grit. Last season she put the state on notice by having a great season with the Pioneers and she followed that up by having a great AAU campaign with her ETG Midwest [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] 3SSB team. The future is really bright for Elofson at this point in the process of things. She is putting up state recognized numbers during high school ball, meaningful numbers during AAU ball on a national circuit, and she continues to expand her abilities. If this keeps up, the sky is the limit but for now, she moves up to the #19 spot.

Ever since [player_tooltip player_id='865482' first='Alijah' last='Stabler'] stepped on the Varsity floor as a Freshman, she has been productive. So productive that after her Freshman season, she had the chance to take an early unofficial visit to D2 - Wayne State. Stabler would be categorized as a nifty Point Guard, that understands how to fool her opponent on either side of the ball. She is someone that can attack her defender with either hand, finishing in a plethora of different ways or she can step up and hit a jumper if the opportunity presents itself. She has also demonstrated that she is a very good at creating for others while attacking her defender off the dribble. Defensively, she is just as sound. She can switch between guard positions and stick with a few different types of opponents. This Winter Stabler is set up to be her team's main producer for their season. It'll be interesting to see how she does but from the looks of it, she should go out there and continue to kill it.

I think it's going to be an important season for PG - [player_tooltip player_id='909425' first='Marlee' last='Emerson'] of Norris High School. Emerson already proved last season that she was going to be a staple for this program throughout the next three years at the Varsity level. Each game that she played in, she showed her worth as a Guard in their system and I'm excited to see how she is going to build on the foundation she set in place during that time. During AAU, Emerson helped her [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] program to respectable weekends, all over the Midwest. With that in consideration, I'm expecting a big Winter ahead for the Norris Titans but we will just have to wait and see. If Emerson has anything to say about it, it's going to be a fun year to be a Titans fan.
