The five prospects that we are going to highlight in this article are all players that should step up and compete on the Varsity level at some point during the 2024-2025 high school season. Each individual has shown on several different occasions this past year that they can play at a high rate, while making the others around them better.

As you can tell, the players that are mentioned below will be highly considered for being ranked within the Top 5 of this 2028 Class when that Ranking Update comes around this Winter.

*Please note, just because a player is not mentioned in this piece, that doesn't mean that they aren't in the running. This situation is fluid and can change in the blink of an eye depending on the next 6-8 months.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

It'll be fun to watch [player_tooltip player_id='882862' first='Alivia' last='Kuhn'] compete this Winter at Marian High School. Kuhn is an agile scoring guard on offense, while being a stout play-maker on defense. She is somewhat surprising in her ability because of her efficiency. Every time she ends up taking a shot on any offensive level, it looks like it's going in or has a chance to because of her mixture of balance, coordination, and fundamental shot form. For her age, she has solid size at her position along with decent speed moving from side-to-side. This Winter season will be a big test for Kuhn and her abilities but by the looks of it, she could start off her Freshman year with a bang and never look back.

As an eighth grader, [player_tooltip player_id='882860' first='Londyn' last='Whitney'] competed up with her [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] 15U UAA program and did a great job of standing out each contest near the basket. Whitney is going to take this momentum following a respectable AAU season and use it moving forward to compete this Winter with her Millard West program. I have a feeling that Whitney will earn a Varsity jersey in this program but I'm not sure of the minutes she will receive as a Freshman. Which is nothing to be ashamed of. This Wildcats program is returning D1 level prospects, they are coming off of a State Title and 1-loss season, and they have a great foundation set in place already. As long as Whitney can build on her own foundation and the group's as a whole, I'm sure she will get some minutes this Winter and then she can work from there, into the future.

Bennington High School this Winter is going to have a number of talented prospects, at all different age levels throughout their program. Someone that should come in and make their mark immediately is 6'0 Small Forward, [player_tooltip player_id='882864' first='Allie' last='John']. John just ended off her AAU season with her ETG Midwest [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] 3SSB team, playing up a grade level and showing her promise each and every contest. John is going to be one of the taller prospects throughout the state coming into this Winter but she also has demonstrated some guard-like tendencies in the past. I'm sure she is going to be asked to handle her own by the basket but she will also work on her ability to step out and spread the floor. If she can start to do that, while dominating her personal matchups near the paint, she is going to be a handful for anyone to tend with these next four seasons.

I have raved about [player_tooltip player_id='884234' first='Da'Nyla' last='Tatum']'s scoring ability on the offensive side of the floor this past six months. Well now is the time to make it happen. Tatum is going to step onto the high school floor this Winter and give it her all. She will be suiting up with her Bellevue West High School team, in hopes of having another great season as a whole. Right now, Tatum is a sound offensive weapon but she still has a lot of room to grow over her next few years. She has the base to make the most of her opportunities, she just needs to go out and make it happen at this point. I would assume that Tatum will be on this team's Varsity roster as a Freshman with her ability but if not, that's alright. She just needs to trust the work she is putting in and the results will follow.

The combination of size, smarts, coordination, touch, balance, and motor that [player_tooltip player_id='884638' first='Stevie' last='Harley'] demonstrates is impressive. Harley was one of the best 2028's that I saw compete this Spring/Summer season with [program_tooltip program_id='712924' first='Team' last='Factory'] and she is going to have chance to build on that over this next four years on the hardwood. Harley has every intangible to turn out to be something great by the time that her high school journey comes to a close. Just like everyone else in this article, her progress will be the key to her success down the line. If she stays on the path she is currently on, she will stay a Top Rated prospect out of this 2028 Class. She does too many good things and that's usually a recipe for success.
