Whitney had an excellent sophomore season for Millard West and has parlayed that into a spot on the Nebraska Attack 17U team for the spring and summer. For the Wildcats Class A state semifinal team, she turned herself into a force in the post area while shooting 44% from the field. She averaged 7.5 points and 7.0 rebounds as well as 1.4 blocks per game. Attack went young in the post this year and Whitney has a chance to shine over the next few months.

This is the Winter that the state of Nebraska really finds out what Londyn Whitney Londyn Whitney 6'1" | PF Millard West | 2028 State NE can really do on the hardwood. Whitney is a 6’1 PF that competes with Millard West. In years past, we have not seen a lot of Whitney because of her Varsity starters around her that were upperclassmen but that all changes this time around. We should see Whitney in full force over the next few years for the Wildcats. She is someone that holds her own at a high rate underneath with her mixture of height, muscle mass, touch, and coordination. If she can show that she should be a part of the team’s main system, she is sure to put up some numbers as a Sophomore over the next few months.

The #1 rated PF that the 2028 Class has to offer currently is Londyn Whitney Londyn Whitney 6'1" | PF Millard West | 2028 State NE . Whitney is going to be an important piece this Winter for Millard West as they try to find a new identity from year’s past. They lose a lot of production due to graduation which means there will be ample opportunity for others to step up and make a name from themselves. Whitney will be one of their program’s tallest and stronger individuals on roster. She comes in right at 6’1 and she moves well for that size. So much so at times you could debatably call her a SF. When you see the Wildcats win this Winter, youll see Whitney with a good stat line. I think those two things will go hand-in-hand moving towards the future but we will see.

“Millard West is going to have to find their identity early on for the season and I think that London Whitney is going to be one of their big hitters over the next there years. Whitney has shown off her coordination, strength, footwork, and soft touch in all of her contests at this event. She is someone that all teams need to account of because if not, she is going to have 20/10 at halftime and kill you. When the Wildcats have success moving forward, I’m sure Whitney will have a hand in it.”

We have said it for a while now. If you can see the floor early in your career at a place like Millard West. You might be the real deal and that’s what we have here with Forward, Londyn Whitney Londyn Whitney 6'1" | PF Millard West | 2028 State NE . Whitney did what she was asked to do this season as a freshman. If you are breaking down her play-style, it’s something along the lines of being a powerful Forward, that can eat up space in a hurry near the basket with her natural height and coordinated movement. She would be considered more of a back-to-the-basket post but she can step out with some screening action and work from there as well. When she does step out to screen, she is very good at sealing her defender on the outside, making a convincing roll to the bucket. Defensively, she is someone to worry about. If you go into the lane, you have to watch out for her or else it might end up in a block or altered attempt. From what I’ve seen so far, this is one to keep an eye on moving forward.

I am not sure that Londyn Whitney Londyn Whitney 6'1" | PF Millard West | 2028 State NE is going to get a ton of time on the Varsity floor this Winter with how good her Millard West program is but she should get some solid minutes. Whitney will have better size than most, a soft touch on the ball, coordinated footwork, and a physicality to her to mix it up with anyone that might come near her area’s on the floor. This is someone with a superior mixture of physical prowess, height, and smarts. If she were to continue to work relentlessly in her off-seasons, who know where she could take things. As for this Winter specifically, remember the name. You might see it in a few other places as the season moves onwards.

As an eighth grader, Londyn Whitney Londyn Whitney 6'1" | PF Millard West | 2028 State NE competed up with her Nebraska Attack 15U UAA program and did a great job of standing out each contest near the basket. Whitney is going to take this momentum following a respectable AAU season and use it moving forward to compete this Winter with her Millard West program. I have a feeling that Whitney will earn a Varsity jersey in this program but I’m not sure of the minutes she will receive as a Freshman. Which is nothing to be ashamed of. This Wildcats program is returning D1 level prospects, they are coming off of a State Title and 1-loss season, and they have a great foundation set in place already. As long as Whitney can build on her own foundation and the group’s as a whole, I’m sure she will get some minutes this Winter and then she can work from there, into the future.

One of the main reasons that I love Londyn Whitney Londyn Whitney 6'1" | PF Millard West | 2028 State NE ‘s play-style on the basketball court is because she doesn’t do anything crazy. She takes what her opponent gives her and she succeeds because of it. Whitney is a 6’1 Forward, that is a mix between a Small and a Power Forward at this point in her career. She stands with great height, she can dominate the post, or she can knock down jumpers out of catch-and-shoot situations at a high rate from around the three point line. Defensively, she is just as productive. She stays down on all shot attempts, making her opponent use a different move to try and score over her a majority of the time. Whitney will be joining Millard West after they come off of a State Title season. I’m not sure if she will see a ton of Varsity minutes but I would assume she will play up and compete for some time. She is talented enough already, she just will need to find her place on her team and the rest will be history.

Londyn Whitney Londyn Whitney 6'1" | PF Millard West | 2028 State NE might only be a prospect out of the 2028 Class but she shows a lot of promise on the hardwood. Whitney is already standing at 6’1 and she is agile in her movement for her size. She has muscle mass to go along with her height and she is pretty skilled with the ball in her hands. I have a feeling that Whitney is going to end up as a top prospect in her 2028 Class at the end of the day. It may be early on but you can tell when someone really has it together on the court and that is the case in this situation. She makes smart plays, works hard, and she can impact a game both offensively and defensively. As long as she stays locked in, she is going to go places.
