make a strong come-back this Winter following her Freshman campaign. John is a force underneath the hoop but she also possesses some guard-like abilities on both sides of the floor. John can be your dominant post, that controls the lane and gets you double-double in points-rebounds. She can also step out to screen and pop, so that she can hit some open shots from around the outside. When you have someone who can spread the floor like this and they have height, it’s noteworthy. I have a feeling that we still have yet to see the best out of John. She can certainly hoop and she is only going to get better with her experience on the Varsity floor. For now though, she rounds out out Top Five at #5.

can play her natural position this upcoming Winter season, we should be in for a treat from the SF from Bennington. John stands at 6’1 now, she loves physical play down low, while also being versatile enough to step-out to the three point line to either screen and seal or to hit a jumper from deep. We really haven’t had a chance to see John for a full, healthy season yet so hopefully that all changes over the next eight months. We are talking about someone who is a force to be reckoned with in the paint when she is motivated and her team’s system works with her play-style so hopefully both of those things line up moving forward and we see her true potential for her upcoming Sophomore season.

of Bennington High School moves in this Update to #4 within the 2028 Class. John, a 6’1 Forward, is a taller prospect that can spread the floor and college coaches are starting to see that more and more on the road this season. Moving into this month of June, several D1 programs have reached out to John in attempts to get her on campus over these next few months. Including some Ivey League programs and some other highly sort after Universities. If John continues to work on her game, she stays motivated, and she keeps it simple – she will be stacking up the collegiate offers before you know it. Like we always say, you can’t teach height and when you pair that along with touch, athleticism, and smarts – you get a killer at the end of the day. That’s what we could have here.

won’t go under-recruited throughout her high school career because she understands the game of basketball really well from an X’s and O’s standpoint, while being a producer standing at over 6’0. This weekend John recorded a double-double in one contest with 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks. This is just a small sample size of what this prospect can do. She is adaptable to situations, she has good height to move around with, and she is fairly coordinated and athletic. All things that will help her produce at the next level one day. From my understanding, John is receiving Ivey League interest at this moment. A pretty impressive feat as a student athlete.

of Bennington High School. John saw the Varsity floor at a solid rate as a freshman but she played more-so out of her position to help the cause on her own team. She still made an impressive impact but now it’s AAU season and she is ready to keep things rolling. This weekend John did everything pretty well. She rebounded on both ends, she was a constant in the blocks department on the defensive end, she was hitting other open teammates for some assists, all while cleaning up the glass and scoring a few points herself. John’s future is bright. She has natural size at 6’0 and a foundation to build on. Those two things could take her far in this sport.

“The role on your team is not what you are best at, it’s what you are best at while helping you team succeed.” I’ve used this quote a few times as a writer and I think it applies here.

of Bennington didn’t have the season she might of imagined but she did her job, she stood out as one of the most consistent freshman in the state while having an injury, and her team used their system to make it to the State Tournament. All impressive things from an evaluation standpoint. I am curious how John is going to come into the AAU season. If she plays to her full potential and gets to play her true position, then I think everyone will see why she rounds off this Top Five for the 2028 Class. John has great size between 6’0/6’1, she can post and bruise down-low against someone smaller, or she can step out and hit a jumper from different levels when she has a Forward with more size on her. This versatility is what really catches the eye of anyone paying attention. Now she just needs to keep on working from here.

is playing her role right now for Bennington High School. Bennington has kicked off this year with a 15-4 record as they look to make a push into Playoffs. Leading their charge is an impressive group of individuals from all Class levels. At the 2028 level, their main rebounding force is CG/SF,

. John is a prospect with height, coordination, touch, and an advanced skill set for her age level. She has proven that she is a three level scoring force over the years and she is only getting better with time. I have a feeling that John is going to have an explosive AAU season with her ETG Midwest
Elite
3SSB team. If she plays her game, she should have some college coaches in contact before you know it.

Allie John of Bennington High School brings better than average size, a three level scoring ability, a simple play-style, and a confidence that really helps her shine at times to the hardwood. This Winter at Bennington High School John will be a name we hear about quite often if she continues on her current path. This is someone that is going to be able to move around the floor and produce in several difference positions. I’m expecting this to be a big name that we speak on more and more over the years at the high school level in Nebraska. She is a force to be reckoned with and I’m sure that is going to be obvious once things get underway here this week.

Allie John of Bennington High School is going to be a problem this upcoming season and she surely was at this event. John is in the conversation for the best player in the gym on the day because of her mixture of size, skill, and athletic prowess. This is a prospect with a fundamental shooting stroke from deep, she can post and handle herself in the lane with physical dominance, and she is a great teammate even though she is very skilled in her own right. During every single drill, skill event, or scrimmage competition that we had on the day, John stood out as one of the best and in a big way.

. John just ended off her AAU season with her ETG Midwest
Elite
3SSB team, playing up a grade level and showing her promise each and every contest. John is going to be one of the taller prospects throughout the state coming into this Winter but she also has demonstrated some guard-like tendencies in the past. I’m sure she is going to be asked to handle her own by the basket but she will also work on her ability to step out and spread the floor. If she can start to do that, while dominating her personal matchups near the paint, she is going to be a handful for anyone to tend with these next four seasons.
