In this article we cover five athletes out of the 2028 Class in Nebraska, that will all have the chance to step onto the high school floor this Winter and make a difference in some shape or form. I would keep a close eye on these five as they could blow up at any moment and become a standout throughout the state over these next four years.

[player_tooltip player_id='752947' first='Liv' last='Schieber'] is going to be a prospect that will be considered for the Top Five out of this 2028 Class, if she goes out as a Freshman and performs in the ways that she is capable of. During AAU season, Schieber was honored as a Second-Team selection on the Select-40 Circuit at the 15U Level. A prestigious award for someone that was competing up a grade level this past six months. This Summer with her Elkhorn South Storm program, Schieber competed up on the Varsity level so I would imagine the same will come this Winter. The Storm will return a young core with A LOT of promise. If they can build on what they set in place a year ago, they are going to continue to be on the rise this Winter, beating several other highly talented programs.

Each time that I have seen [player_tooltip player_id='882861' first='Brekklyn' last='Coltrane'] compete, she is someone that is easy to spot on the floor because of how involved in each set-play she gets. She might not average 25 a game just yet but I do think that she will have those capabilities by the time she gets to her upperclassman years at Westview High School if she continues to work on her craft. She has demonstrated that she has a solid shot form on rotation from deep, she can finish at the rim, she can pass to others that maybe open, and she is scrappy on defense for her size. Her ability to defend and create for others is what will keep her on the floor, along with her shooting efficiency these next four years at the high school level.

[player_tooltip player_id='885240' first='Ally' last='Wilber'] most likely won't get Varsity minutes this upcoming season but she will be called upon these next few years to be a steady producer with her Wildcats program, especially once some of their current upperclassmen leave due to graduation. Wilber is a multi-sport athlete, that does well on the Track Field, as well as the hardwood. As it pertains to Basketball, I've seen Wilber play a handful of times and every time she is either playing off her jump shooting or she is beating everyone down the floor with her physical conditioning for easy looks in transition. All in all, I'm sure she will impress as a 2028 these next few months, no matter what team she is placed on within the Wildcats program.

The future possibilities are endless for [player_tooltip player_id='884643' first='Journi' last='Schindler'] at the Shooting Guard position. Schindler comes into high school at 5'10, being better than average size for her position right off of the bat. If her shooting ability can live up to her height and demeanor, you could see that her possibilities in the future maybe endless. Most others at the high school level who guard her 1v1 won't be able to stick with her size and if they do, a majority of the time she will be able to just shoot over them. Not to mention, she can defend a few positions on the opposite side of the floor because of this natural size. At Central City High School, I'd imagine she is going to see the floor right away but only time will tell.

The Bellevue West T-Birds are going to replenish their program with several talented prospects this upcoming season. Someone that is going to come on board out of their 2028 Class is Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='920263' first='Skylar' last='Johnson']. Johnson just had a respectable AAU season with her [program_tooltip program_id='715719' first='Unity' last='Stars'] AAU program and she is ready to prove herself at the high school level now. The T-Birds are going to bring in a number of players that could possibly play up and see the floor in some moderation in the near future. They lose their main producers from a year ago so there is ample opportunity to say the least and Johnson will look to take full advantage of that.
