As we embark on a new season, like every year, we have a new crop of young ladies who will be coming into the fold for high school basketball. The 2028 class has some exciting prospects in it that are shaking up the game literally one game at a time.   So everyone knows about Kamora “Mo Mo” Moore and her dynamic play. I mean the girl was a Miss Tennessee nominee last year as an 8th grader. She's getting collegiate offers daily. Power 4 schools are lining up to holler at her as well. These are just two kids of many who will be taking this year by storm. What do I mean by that? This 2028 class in this state really truly has some game changers within it. Young ladies who are gonna come in and do work from Day 1.   As we continue to uncover more and more kids in this class, check out some girls who will be making some noise this year. These fearless kids don't care who they are facing. As soon as that ball is thrown up, it's go time. These girls are battle tested. Refining their skills on the circuit as well as gymnasiums around the state. Funny thing is, they were just in middle school last year, however they are about to jump right into the fire of high school basketball. They will be ready for it, you better believe.   Here are just a few girls who will be difference makers on day 1.    Selfless ball player who can score it on all 3 levels, but facilitating the rock is what she does best. The kid has incredible handles and she takes ankles on her way to getting to her spot to unleash a shot attempt or hit an open teammate. Has incredible court vision and knows when and where to exploit favorable spots. She's a gym rat, a hard working individual who works at her craft religiously. She's solid on both ends and will continue to get better over the course of the years. Started in the 8th grade and will be tearing it up for the next four years. Already D1 offers and will look to grab some more in the coming months. Solid prospect with a high ceiling.     Dynamic scoring threat who can fill it up on all levels. Plays with confidence and with a bulldog mentality, this kid doesn't back away from competition. She wants the smoke and she is always in attack mode on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she is a scorer, but don't underestimate her ability to make timely assists and contribute in other facets of the game. Defensively, she gets after it, steals, deflections, taking charges, she is a hustler and a great all around player. This kid will continue to grow and most definitely will be on collegiate coaches' radars for years to come.     Hard working kid whose game continues to grow each and every day. A shifty ball handler who can score it on all 3 levels. She can exploit a defense in her pull up game, or spot up on the perimeter and knock the 3 ball down at a consistent clip. Hard-nosed player who is super tough. She goes hard on both ends of the floor. A fearless competitor who will lock up the opposition, creating turnovers, causing havoc. She rebounds, takes charges, just goes all out. Addy is a kid you will need to keep tabs on for sure. Someone who gives maximum effort on each possession and is a selfless player who will do whatever it takes to help her team win. A great two way prospect who is on an upwards trajectory.     Long and rangy, this kid can play inside and out. Yes she can knock down the outside shot, but when she is on the interior, she is tough as all get out. She finishes well around the rim. She doesn't get denied, going through opponents and making the tough shots look easy. She moves well, finding open spots that enable her to get into her shot attempts with ease. Defensively, she is solid, blocking shots, making it tough for opponents to operate. She makes them feel uncomfortable and her presence is felt on every possession. A solid two-way player who will be a force to deal with for years to come.     She's got next. Everyone knows Blackman produces phenomenal guards and she is next in line to step into that role. This kid is a long rangy 3 level scoring threat who possesses speed and power. Handles the rock, doesn't get rattled in the face of pressure. Takes calculated shots, hits open teammates in stride for easy shot attempts, plays with poise and is very efficient on the offensive end. Defensively she's a problem to deal with. Super tough kid who forces opponents into making mistakes. Steals, deflections, blocks, rebounds, just keep naming things that create extra possessions for her ball club and her fingerprints are all over it. This kid is one of the top ones in her class. Look for her to continue to grow and etch her name in the Blackman guards legacy of names.
