The dozen debuters in the 2027 rankings update pushed the total number of prospects included to 90. Five debuting in the top 50 has been impactful on movement of those already ranked. While some players advanced relative to those also previously included, all but two players outside the top ten slid. Here's a quick look at those debuting in the top 50.

Potts transfers into the defending 6A state champions from Notre Dame de Scion, Missouri, where she was ranked #57. Very fast with the ball with quick feet defensively, she perimeter ball fluidly. She also finishes through plays around the basket with athleticism. A tad right hand heavy on finishes, watch for continued development as a three level scorer.

Steven set herself up for a big sophomore season by having a strong summer. A Greater Wichita Athletic League honorable mention selection as a freshman, she will be a big part of the Golden Eagles' charge to another 5A state tournament. I love vocal point guards who direct traffic and she is that. A skilled, quick offensive player, Steven uses a strong head fake to get a step or three. Off the drive she finishes with athleticism and nails the quick pull up jumper. She is also a three ball threat. Where she has especially garned attention is with her defense. Often she is top dog on the court guarding the ball. She plays hard and does the little things a team needs to win. Watch further development working one-on-one against headier and quick defenders with some size in the half and full court. Strong with serious upside.

The Andover Trojans spent time as the top dog in the 5A rankings at times last season and made a lot of noise at the state tournament. Given the graduations the team had I expect Hand to likely start this season. I really look for rebounding chops and Hand was one of the few at the Wichita I-35 Showcase that boxed before going after the ball. Using a strong crossover followed by shielding her finish with her body against a strong defender is top notch. Hackers note she hits her free throws too. She will play both forward positions. I would like to see her clear rebounds better but it will come.

While on the undersized side Reed is formidable playing both forward positions. Fast and strong, she is relentless on the offensive glass using her hops and athleticism. Her frame and strength also makes her difficult to work against. On the offensive end her quick feet are put to good use in throwing together multiple moves to get a shot off. Reed, suffice it to say, finishes well through contact.

Centralia is poised to make another run at the class 1A Division I title after a third place finish last season. Kramer figures to be a solid part of Panthers' rotation. The slender guard is gaining in confidence after playing a rigorous summer season. She is a three point threat with good mechanics and changes directions with the ball with quickness. Kramer finishes drives at speed and with athleticism.
