EXPO 1st Team Standouts

Saturday, September 7th Prep Girls Hoops Arizona had the annual EXPO Showcase which was hosted at Inspire Courts in Gilbert, AZ. We had right around 45 players from the 2028-2025 classes who were competing in a few games of 3 on 3 followed by the regular 5 on 5 setting.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were the 1st Team Standouts</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='788336' first='Ylena' last='Gross']<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/ylena-gross/"></a><a></a> Sunnyside   A real point guard who throws open teammates. She has a very shifty handle and pounds it almost like an old vet. She will score off the dribble and with catch threes or from mid-range. She will get on the glass and score off of offensive rebound put backs.   [player_tooltip player_id='754702' first='Margaret' last='Luba']<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/margaret-luba/"></a><a></a> Sunnyslope   One of the top shooting guards is a natural scorer from all levels. She can score with post ups in the paint, catch threes. layups in the open court as a good runner and she will drive and kick it to her teammates with an unselfish nature.   [player_tooltip player_id='780451' first='Novelle' last='McQuiston']<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/novelle-mcquiston/"></a> Perry   The camp MVP is a bigger guard who has the best pace in the game. She can hit the catch three with real range, post up inside, grab a rebound and take it coast to coast. No one affects the game more than her as she will defend and is a phenomenal passer.   [player_tooltip player_id='755356' first='Elleigh' last='Molinar']<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/elleigh-molinar/"></a><a></a> Perry   A talented freshman scoring point guard. She can catch and shoot from the three and get hot quickly. She can pull-up or get to the basket and she made some of the best passes of the camp with good speed in the open court.   [player_tooltip player_id='749670' first='Noelle' last='Mulvanny']<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/noelle-mulvanny/"></a><a></a> Dream City Christian   A super athletic wing forward seems to fly on the break or in the open court. She can hit the three off the catch, cuts off the ball, will rip thru, post up and is strong off the dribble. She is also a very good passer.   [player_tooltip player_id='788383' first='Leila' last='O'Dowd'] Rincon (Pictured)   One of the top centers in the sophomore class showed off. She can step out and shoot the three plus works inside with her left or right hand. She gets to the FT line and he is very effective and efficient around the basket. She can crossover into a bucket and her euro game is incredible.   [player_tooltip player_id='608451' first='Aaliyah' last='Rogers']<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/aaliyah-rogers/"></a><a></a> Canyon View   The most athletic guard in attendance can hit the catch three and not many can stay in front of her. She had the best first step at the camp and also happened to be one of the top on-ball defenders. She rebounds well for a guard and then will make a play. You will see her often go coast to coast or cash in on her FTs. She seems to be a step faster than most on the court.   [player_tooltip player_id='754705' first='Ashley' last='Shaw']<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/ashley-shaw/"></a><a></a> Desert Vista   A pure point guard with a tight handle is steadily improving her scoring. She can hit the catch three or off the dribble from mid. She has impeccable timing to make plays for her teammates, and since she is gaining more confidence shooting off the dribble, she is becoming harder to defend.
