Saturday, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana held its annual Freshman Showcase to help identify several of the state's top Freshmen. With 90 prospects from the 2028 class in attendance, this provided an opportunity to see them compete head-to-head, as well as together, in a combination of 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. Below is a look at seven additional perimeter players who I felt stood out when I had the chance to see them. We will have additional articles later this week highlighting every prospect who was in attendance.

As if Homestead didn't already have enough talent in their 2028 class, let alone the rest of their roster, Agnes is another prospect who should be a big part of their future. She is long and wiry, fluid, quick, and somewhat bouncy, plus she plays with a gritty motor. She was good attacking off the dribble Saturday, and she could score it or find teammates. She also showed some touch outside, and she sat down and defended well with her length and quickness.

Madelyn is a nice little combo guard who could provide some depth for the Lady Bears this Winter. She has a wiry-strong frame, nice length at her height, and she's a good athlete in most directions. There were possessions when she looked comfortable with the ball in her hands, attacking the basket and finding teammates. Other times she would knock down open rhythm jumpers off of a teammate's pass. She plays with a nice motor and will battle.

Jhordyn was highly intriguing, and I am anxious to see how her game grows throughout high school. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and even somewhat bouncy. She showed a nice-looking shot from the perimeter, she created space with the bounce, and she has a pure scorer's mentality. As she continues to get stronger, look for her to finish more consistently around the basket. She also has the length and quickness to become an elite defender.

Lila was in one of the first games I watched Saturday, and she didn't disappoint throughout the day. She is long, wiry-strong, fluidly athletic, and bouncy. She is very active and seems to always be around the basketball. She can handle it a little and create for herself or teammates, she has some touch when she gets her feet set and finds rhythm, plus she is a versatile defender and a nice pursuing rebounder. As she gets stronger, she could be a real problem.

Following in her sisters' footsteps, she kind of has a little of each of them in her game. She is a strong, almost powerful wing guard, she plays with a nice motor, and she possesses a balanced skillset. Athletically, Denaijah gets downhill in a hurry, she absorbs contact well already, and she can finish inside. She also has touch outside, she can initiate an offense, plus she can push it in transition. Additionally, she is a hard-working, versatile defender.

There were a few of these "running back" style of wing guards, and Maliyah did a nice job of getting her shoulders down, protecting the ball, and absorbing contact as she attacked the basket. She has broad shoulders, a strong, athletic frame, and nice length, but rumor has it she's still just 14 years old. She has some shiftiness to her as well, and once her handle is a bit more dynamic, she could be a real problem. She also competed well at the defensive end.

Birkley just looks like a coach's kid. She plays with a great motor, toughness and grit, she has a very fundamental skillset, plus she is always aware of what's going on around her. Birkley has broad shoulders, long arms, and she's a nice North/South athlete. She can handle it a little and push in transition, but I felt like she was such a skillful wing, you'd want to get her open for shots. She has some touch outside, plus she can attack the basket and finish.
