The 2027 class came into the high school ranks with not necessarily a lot of hype, but with something to prove. A lot of girls, because of their game, were thrown into the fire early and often. They were challenged in big-time moments to step up and contribute to their team in any way possible. A lot, did just that and then some. When you look at this class, you can see the growth and the maturation process each of these young ladies have gone through. They walk differently. They are more confident. They are poised. They play as if it's just another day at the office. This class has come in and really set a new standard on how to contribute to a program early in their career.

The more I think about it, if you look all around the 27 class, they have a little bit of everything. Ball handlers, shooters, defenders, speed, size, ect. Each attribute brings something special to the table that stands out. It's not just about their scoring ability, but the other little things that this class does that really comes to mind. A lot of the things they do, you can't coach. It's about going hard and being relentless. They play with a lot of energy and effort. Either way you slice it, this class is talented and effective when it comes to the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='821657' first='Marley' last='Spiers'] (6'4/So./C/ Clarksville Christian)- Lauren's battery mate, talk about trying to penetrate the paint on this team, it is definitely a no go. Marley is a monster who is physical and skilled. On the offensive end, super tough to handle. Has a nice touch where she finishes around the blocks. Can face up or play with her back to the basket. Physical kid who is strong on the boards. She's in the right place at the right time to create second chance shot opportunities for her club. Defensively, she is solid. Besides being on the boards, she blocks shots, moves post players out of position so they don't establish a presence down low. Makes the lane look full using her length. This kid is a monster and will be a solid addition to a program at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='620459' first='Olivia' last='Loveday'] (5'8/So./F/TKA)- Heady ball player who plays with passion and poise. Can score it on all three levels of the floor, but has the ability to attack and finish around the rim. The counter moves this girl has is unreal and she won't be denied. Cut her off one way, she can counter and get to her next spot. She can pull it from the arc, so don't leave her open. Defensively, she is going to sit down and guard. Rotates well and is always in position to gain a rebound. This kid continues to get better and as her confidence keeps growing, she's going to be tough to deal with.

[player_tooltip player_id='821741' first='Gabby' last='DeBord'] (6'3/So./F/PCA)- At first glance, you would think she is just a low post player. As the game progresses, she stretches the floor and utilizes her footwork to get to her spots. She operates all over the floor, the arc, high posts, dunker spots, low blocks. Her size creates problems because teams have a tough time guarding her. If it's a slow big, she can blow by them. If it's a guard, she can post them up. She creates problems on the offensive end for sure. Defensively, she is a big-time contributor. Blocks shots, heavy on the boards, gets steals and deflections. This kid is a solid two-way player looking to have a breakthrough sophomore season.

[player_tooltip player_id='779486' first='Payton' last='Richmond-Watson'] (6'0/So./C/ Powell)- A tenacious two-way player who is physical as all get out. Offensively, she can pull it from the arc, but around the painted area is where she is golden. She is going to go through you, leaving your girl on her backside due to her sheer force. Payton has nice footwork downlow and moves well for a big. I love her ability to find a gap and establish her presence, then once the ball is swung to her, she goes in attack mode. Defensively, she knows how to use her body. Great at blocking shots and over course boxing out and getting rebounds. This kid is on the upswing and you can tell if she's a problem now, what a force she is going to be down the road. Keep an eye out for this kid for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='821738' first='Trinity' last='Curry'] (5'11/So.C/ Farragut)- Fun and energetic, this kid plays the game with a great big ball of energy. Solid in the pick n roll game, she has a nice jumper around the mid-range area. I love her presence down low, she can go up strong or shoot a nice little fadeaway jumper. Defensively, she is sound. Solid, understanding that if she just shoots her hands up, a) the refs aren't going to call a foul. b) she blocks a lot of balls. Love her rebounding ability and how she can outlet the ball to start the transition break for her club. This kid is a solid contributor whose stock is increasing.
