Saturday, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana held its first ever Sophomore ID Camp to help identify and showcase several of the state's top Sophomores. With 84 prospects from the 2027 class in attendance, this provided an opportunity to see them compete head-to-head, as well as together, in a combination of 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. Below is a look at six ladies who I felt stood out the most when I was able to see them. This is not rankings based of the top six prospects in attendance, as much as it is the six who I felt played the best in a limited sample size of parts of two to three games seen at most. We will have additional articles later this week highlighting every prospect who was in attendance.

Jimara is a nice, strong, broad-shouldered wing guard. She plays with toughness and physicality, a nice motor, but she also has an accurate jumper from the perimeter. She shoots a "knuckleball", but it seems to go in more often than not. She is a solid North/South driver who can absorb contact, but as she gets more dynamic off the dribble, it will help her ability to score it more consistently in the mid-range game. I liked her energy and sense of urgency defensively, and she was a fairly active rebounder. CMA should be a tough "out" this Winter.

I feel like Alivia is still somewhat of an unknown on a statewide level and having seen her for the first time in July, she is admittedly missing from our 2027 lists. That will be changing later this month when they are updated. In the meantime, she is a nice-sized guard, with broad shoulders, length, and the ability to play either guard spot. She can handle and create off the bounce, and she can bury shots from the perimeter. I'd look for her stock to rise quickly this Winter, as she should see a much bigger role for the Kingsmen.

Alexis was tremendous yesterday, consistently making plays for her teammates. She paired well with [player_tooltip player_id='751118' first='Saniya' last='Smith'] (below) to give their opponents headaches. Alexis is quick, fast, and feisty. She loves to push the ball up the floor quickly, and she is always scanning the floor looking for teammates. She is a true point guard and does a nice job of running the show. Defensively, she uses her quickness and instincts to cause problems, and really, as long as colleges don't get caught up on height, she can get after it and help someone at the next level.

London's ability to change roles from game to game is a testament to her versatility. Saturday, she acted as a point forward a lot of the time, handling it in transition, breaking down defenses, and finding open teammates. She is also a more than capable perimeter shooter who can be used in that role, plus she has the strength to defend some inside and battle for boards. Ultimately, I think she will be recruited as a versatile wing, but she's one of those plug-and-play kids who fits into most lineups and systems.

Kaylie is difficult to define by position, because she does so many things well skillfully. She is strong/powerful, physical as a perimeter player, and she can play a power PG role, a wing shooter role, or even battle bigger wings, get inside, and rebound as well. She has a nice handle, good vision, plus great touch outside. Being able to defend the smaller, water-bug type guards is the toughest challenge for her right now, but she is truly a "ballplayer" who does a lot of things very well offensively.

Saniya is an absolute handful for opponents to defend. She is smaller, but she is extremely quick, fast, and changes directions instantly. She is equally explosive with or without the ball in her hands. She is an offensive weapon who can bury shots outside or get defenders off-balance and attack them off the dribble. She does have point guard skill and the ability to create for others, so she can play a traditional point guard role. But she is such a creative and consistent scorer, that's it tough to not play her as a scoring threat.
