The PGH Expo: Team 1 Evaluations

The gym at MSA Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids was filled with prospects, and numerous college coaches from various levels were present for The Expo. Throughout the day, I covered Team 1 extensively and provided detailed coverage for each girl below!    Libby had a great day for Team 1 at The Expo on Saturday. She handled the point guard responsibilities with her ball-handling skills. When the ball was not in her hands, she did a great job of moving without the ball and slashing at the right time. She knocked down shots behind the arc and showed that she could keep her player in front of her on defense.     Natalie had an excellent day for Team 1 at The Expo. She has a killer crossover dribble to get past her defenders. She is a hustling player, never afraid to hit the floor for a loose ball. She always keeps her head up, leading the break and ready to deliver the pass to open teammates.     Georgia had an outstanding day for Team 1 at The Expo. She worked hard on the defensive end of the court, constantly communicating and coming away with steals. She had a nice baseline drive after blowing by her defender and finishing with her inside hand to avoid the block of the help defender. She moves exceptionally well without the ball.     Angela had an outstanding day for Team 1 at The Expo. She is a tenacious defender with great lateral quickness. She utilized her speed to grab a defensive rebound and swiftly score a basket on the other end. She excels at driving to the basket and has a strong finishing ability around the rim off two feet.     HarLee had a superb day for Team 1 at The Expo. She is not afraid of contact and drove the lane often during the day. She was making a living at the free-throw line. She hauled down multiple offensive rebounds for either put-backs or extra scoring opportunities for her team. On the other end of the floor, she had lots of grit and was a scrappy defender.     Makara had an impressive day for Team 1 at The Expo. She drove hard to the lane and was not afraid of contact. She had multiple "and-1s" on the day. I was also impressed with her floater. She is a poised point guard and made some nice passes in the open court.     Savanna had a tremendous day for Team 1 at The Expo. Savanna is a forward with guard speed. She works hard on the glass and pulled down many offensive rebounds for put-backs. She had a nice baseline drive and reverse lay-up finish. She has sneaky good hands on defense and finished the day with some huge blocks.     Sam had an outstanding day for Team 1 at The Expo and was one of my top choices as a top performer. She has good size and can play both inside and outside. She has great range from behind the arc and made multiple 3-pointers throughout the day. She runs the floor hard during transition and is very capable of handling the break from her forward position. She finished the day with numerous blocks.     Harper had a great day for Team 1 at The Expo. She is a skilled back-to-the-basket post player with exceptional footwork around the rim. She makes the right decision of when to go up strong or kick out to an open teammate when facing double or triple teams. She works hard to get position on rebounds and had numerous put-backs throughout the day.
