"Know your job, do your job." [player_tooltip player_id='886656' first='Tinsley' last='Walker'] absolutely knows her role and she's become one of the best '25s in the state shooting the ball. She's been surrounded by great talent at Knox Catholic, and she's become very good herself at understanding how to play within this type of ecosystem. She's great at moving without the basketball, and finding the "soft spots" where the defense isn't. Her size and length make her hard to get contested shots against. She's also learned how to use that length to become an high level defender. She'll step into a larger role for this years team as they seek another state championship.

Show me a kid that can both 1) knock down 3's, and 2) defender their position, and I'll show you a kid that is hard to take off the floor. Lillian Simms can definitely do these two things. She's turned herself into a big time shot maker, and will be a huge part of TKA's rotation as they seek another deep postseason run.

[player_tooltip player_id='409632' first='Hilary' last='Shikuku'] just looks like she should be a basketball player. She has all the intangibles: great size, length, and athleticism. She's turned herself into a high level on the ball defender, and understands helps D. She great at getting into help quickly and clogging up driving lanes with her length. She's also an above average rebounder for her position. Can guard multiple positions in switch heavy schemes.

Offensively, she continues to improve. She does most of her damage attacking the rim, where she has a variety of finishes in her bag. She's got excellent footwork and knows how to play off two feet, and when to initiate or avoid contact. Still developing as a shooter. HUGE upside.

I believe [player_tooltip player_id='410168' first='Delaney' last='Weddington'] is going to have a huge year. She's a D1 guard for a reason (Carson Newman offered her in August). She was perhaps the best player (if not simply the best scorer) for Trotters '25 Heifner this summer. Every time I watch her I was impressed. Her intangibles are great at 5'10 with springy athleticism. She's also really skilled as a 3 level scorer. She got high IQ and understands how to get to her spots without forcing the issue. Her playmaking off the bounce is much improved, and she's an above average rebounder for her position.

[player_tooltip player_id='409092' first='Tamiah' last='Tanner'] continues to improve, and her best basketball is still ahead of her. She's already a college ready defender as she's tremendous on the ball. Quick feet and strong, she can guard multiple positions. Plays really hard; great pursuit of 50/50 balls. Makes winning plays. Offensively is at her best when she's able to get out in transition, or downhill attacking a lane. Really tough when she gets a full head of steam. Finishes well with both hands, and off 1 or 2 feet.

[player_tooltip player_id='410062' first='Ayana' last='Porter'] has turned herself into, not just a ball player, but the District 3-AAA Player of the Year. She shot the ball lights out last season as she leveled up into becoming a high-level shotmaking PG (she's a PG--not a wing, but I had to find a spot for her). She a great leader that knows where all of her teammates are supposed to be. Runs the show for an Oak Ridge team that didn't have any seniors last season, and beat a lot of good opponents.
