impressive. Kennedy Dean wasn't just one of the top playmakers in the building- she was the overall top player and playmaker in the whole building. Dean played varsity as a 7th grader and 8th grader and her performance raised the question- who was starting ahead of her? The performance she put in at the Florida Expo was pure domination. She did everything well. First, the ability to get in the paint and to the rim was super impressive. Her pull-up jumper was lethal, and then her three-point shooting was even more. The three-point shooting is what separated her from the other power forwards in the building. Deal's defense was the "real" and she blocked numerous shots out the air, and dove for loose balls

[player_tooltip player_id='880384' first='Jada' last='Clardy'] was the smoothest and most efficient scorer in the entire camp. She was in the top 3 in three pointers, one of the top players in transition, and the most fluid player at the event. what did it for me was the drive left and the rock the cradle reverse layup finish. It could have been the head fake on the baseline and the soft kiss off of the glass after she sliced through the defense. There were too many plays to name, but they all equal one thing - flat-out dominance on the offensive end. The defense was top-notch, too. Clardy was one of the top 2 or 3 players in the building

[player_tooltip player_id='914241' first='Makiya' last='Trusel'] came to play, and it showed in her confidence on the floor. She felt she was as good as anyone on the floor, and she played like it as well. Trusel handled the ball well, shot the ball well, especially in the midrange, and made some really nice plays. She showcased her high basketball IQ and made some great passes with great anticipation. Trusel's pull-up jumper was as good as anybody's. She did a good job of running the show from the point guard position and played with a high level of control, self-belief, and the mentality of a leader.

[player_tooltip player_id='638571' first='Aaliyah' last='Grant'] put on one of the most dominant performances I've ever seen at a PGH function. She was physical but under control. She was a master of just knocking a defender off of their base and just killing them down low. Grant had a nice touch around the rim. Her footwork in the paint was masterful, and she finished well. Grant's athleticism jumped off of the charts, and she was a mixture of athleticism, finesse, and basketball smarts. Grant made plays all night with her timely offense and her offense. Grant also rebounded with authority, initiated the fast break, and filled the lanes on the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='514572' first='Laila' last='Allen'] had one of the quickest first steps I saw at the Expo. Allen is a smooth point guard who knows how to run a team and put her players in the right spot. Allen shot the midrange shot well, also. Her ability to pull up and shoot or get to the rim made her a dual threat with the ball in her hand. When defenders backed off, she pulled up and showed she could shoot the midrange. The young guard was also crafty with her finishes and ball handling.

[player_tooltip player_id='763181' first='Maia' last='Berdebes'] refined her game to take advantage of her great passing ability, basketball IQ, and great court vision. With her ability to get downhill and to the rim, she used her ball handling and quick attack to the rim to make plays for her teammate and herself. Berdebes also shot the three and midrange shots when she needed to.
