[player_tooltip player_id='766600' first='Tarryn' last='Godsey'] of Nebraska City High School is going to return this Winter as Nebraska's prominent blocking force inside the lane. Godsey averaged 5.5 BPG last season in her efforts out on the Varsity floor. This number is staggering if you know that she did this each game, throughout their 22 game season. This Winter Godsey will be looked upon again to bring the thunder inside the lane. She is the force that is the anchor for this team inside the paint and that has been a constant for the past three years now. This Winter for her final go-around, I'm sure that she will be competing with a little extra motivation so that she can finish things off with a bang.

You can definitely say that [player_tooltip player_id='305778' first='Avril' last='Smith'] is still one of the top uncommitted prospects that the state of Nebraska has to offer at this time. Not only is Smith a quick thinking individual with great instincts and natural ability. She is also a defensive stopper, usually getting a few BPG, every time she takes the floor. By the end of last high school season, Smith was a top 20 prospect throughout the state for BPG with 2. That might not seem like a crazy number but it does mean something. It means she gets consistent stops every game, she is always in the right spots defensively, and she has a better than average motor compared to those around her on the Varsity court. It'll be interesting to see where Smith ends top for collegiate ball but wherever it is. They are getting someone that can bring positive energy to their program and that's something you love to see.

Throughout the entirety of her high school career, [player_tooltip player_id='766585' first='JJ' last='Black'] has moved up and down the rankings list for her 2025 Class. No matter where she has been placed, it has never changed that Black is a force to be reckoned with. She might not kill you with any insane stat line or flashy move but she is consistent in the paint. She has been a Varsity player ever since she was a Freshman and I think that will stay consistent into the future as well. During last Winter, Black averaged some noteworthy numbers across the board but especially in BPG. She averaged over 4 BPG throughout her season and that is something she should be proud about moving into her Senior journey.

[player_tooltip player_id='336045' first='Sarah' last='Gatwech'] of Lincoln North Star High School is another prospect that puts up nice numbers in the BPG category throughout her seasons, every year she competes. Gatwech has natural length and athletic ability. She is a guard that adapts to situations in the blink of an eye, she has fast feet, and her active hands to gets a lot of tips or deflections on the basketball. For someone that competes at the guard position primarily, she averaged just under 2 BPG during the 2023-2024 high school season. I love this number as it shows that she competes on both sides of the floor, never taking plays off. Lincoln North Star is in for an interesting year ahead and I'm excited to see what they can put together.

There is no mistaking that [player_tooltip player_id='896886' first='Jayla' last='Cleveland'] of Millard South High School put together an AAU season she should be proud of this past six months, leading to a ton of interest and recruitment from the next level. Cleveland is a paint presence, that competes hard with her back to the basket offensively, while being a stopper on the defensive side of things. She might not be the tallest Forward but she makes up for it with her smarts and dedication to the game. At this point, Cleveland has about 10 collegiate offers from all over the Midwest. I'm not sure where she might end up but no matter where it is, she is sure to worry about the current high school season right in front of her.
