Today, we start our preseason wave of rankings updates, beginning with the 2025 class. We'll work our way through and finish up with the 2028 Watch List. Let's start with the Top Ten and Next Ten articles for the class of 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='374227' first='Rainey' last='Welson']

Since Welson's first season at Hortonville, she's taken a lead role and helped make the Polar Bears one of the most feared oppositions in the Fox Valley the past three seasons. The Maryland commit is a scoring threat from all three levels and has the force to attack the rim and power through significant contact. The future Terrapin has the tools to do some damage in the Big Ten.

[player_tooltip player_id='374229' first='Amy' last='Terrian']

The reigning D2 State Champion has been one of the more magnetic figures in Wisconsin the past few seasons. Terrian's ability to score from the perimeter at a high clip has been something youngsters in the Pewaukee have drawn towards, and you can see it when they wear the Terrian twins' patented pigtails to Pirate games. The Michigan State commit is one of the most driven individuals I've ever been around and settles for nothing less than perfection from herself and the most out of her teammates, which I'm sure the Spartan staff will love when she gets to campus.

[player_tooltip player_id='338945' first='Makena' last='Christian']

A member of the Hartford Orioles team that made a run to the state tournament a year ago, Christian made strides in her junior season. The Minnesota commit did an excellent job utilizing her talents to get the most out of her teammates. Christian was one of the best passers out of the post, both low and high, and was a solid outlet for her guards when teams had to pressure the ball. I feel she turned a massive corner over the second half of last season. Christian will join fellow Wisconsin natives Grace Grocholski (Kettle Moraine), and McKenna Johnson (Wilmot) in the Twin Cities.

[player_tooltip player_id='374228' first='JJ' last='Glass-Barnes']

A recent Marquette commit, Glass-Barnes has been one of the more physical kids in her class since they were newcomers three years ago. The Racine Prairie guard has been an elite rebounding guard since she stepped onto the floor. I've also loved how much her perimeter game has developed over the last three seasons, and we folks in Southeast Wisconsin will see her in Milwaukee playing for the Golden Eagles starting next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='338940' first='Kristina' last='Ouimette']

The most intriguing prospect from North Central Wisconsin in the 2025 class is the younger sister of current Green Bay Phoenix, Julianna Ouimette. The 6'2 wing has been a high-volume shooter from the perimeter in her first three seasons, ranking in the top thirteen in threes made in each season. She's been an excellent away-from-the-ball kid and has found ways to get space to get her shots off. She's a welcomed addition to new Head Coach Kayla Karius' 2025-26 roster.

[player_tooltip player_id='448243' first='Katelyn' last='McGinnis']

The riser of the class has been [player_tooltip player_id='448243' first='Katelyn' last='McGinnis']. In her first season, McGinnis came off the bench, and in her second season, she was a secondary creator and more of a floor-spacer. However, she made the most of her opportunity when she became the focal point of the Papermakers offense. I thought she was one of the best players in the FVA last season, which is incredible, given her roles in her first two seasons. After making another run this season, McGinnis will join fellow FVA standout Emily La Chappell (Appleton East) at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

[player_tooltip player_id='602353' first='Jordan' last='Fenske']

The future Illinois State Redbird has been a part of a talented Waukesha West group that's produced plenty of scholarship-level players over the past three seasons. Fenske started as a spot-shooter and has seen her role grow to be someone who can handle the ball through pressure and be a creative guard. She's got plenty of length to work with on the defensive end of the floor. The Waukesha native will join fellow Wisconsinites Nevaeh Thomas (Kenosha Bradford) and Trista Fayta (Green Bay Notre Dame) in Normal, Illinois, next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='338950' first='Lillian' last='Merow']

The Port Washington post hasn't gotten the respect she deserves for her skill in the paint. Merow can finish with either hand around the rim and use her physicality to maneuver around the basket when double-teams come. I'd argue she's one of the best two-post players I've seen in my three years around Wisconsin High School Girls Basketball. The 6'2 post will continue her athletic career in the Gate City of the West at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

[player_tooltip player_id='338948' first='Peyton' last='Musial']

A member of Notre Dame's recent run of excellence, Musial is the final member of the Tritons who saw minutes in their State Title Game in 2022. The 5'11 wing has developed into an explosive wing scorer and a reliable three-point shooter. The lefty has proven to be someone who can operate away from the ball and on the ball well enough to play against some of the best teams in the state in a pinch. After Musial graduates from Notre Dame, she'll head south and continue her athletic career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

[player_tooltip player_id='374233' first='Lydia' last='Aalsma']

A 2022 State Champion, Aalsma has been a piece of a golden generation of girls' basketball at Waupun, winning a state title in her first year and a return trip to the Resch Center in her sophomore campaign. The 5'10 wing is an excellent athlete who's shown flashes of being a high-usage wing who can score efficiently but has played a complementary role with other scholarship talents in the Warriors program. Aalsma will be a player that can win games on her own this season. The Waupun native will continue her athletic career at St. Thomas University (MN) and join fellow Wisconsinites MiKayla Werner (Hortonville) and Lizzie Steingraber (New London).
