In this article, we take a look at some elite shooters at the Fall Basketball Skill Session I attended this past weekend. I got the chance to lay eyes on some of the top shooters in the State.

[player_tooltip player_id='346835' first='Jaida' last='Civil'] was in the building. I could stop right there. But, let's wait until after Lakeland. Civil was the top player in the building and of course one of the top shooters, top defenders, top point guards, etc. When it comes to Civil, the superlatives are endless. Civil can shoot it from anywhere on the court, and her ability to get to the rim makes her that much more lethal on the outside. She was shooting it well at the Fall Session and that is just a premonition for the upcoming season. Civil is season loading and we can't wait to see her in action - and probably in Lakeland at the end of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='249395' first='Jazlyn' last='Bowman'] continues to turn heads with ability to shoot the rock. She has a really smooth stroke and it looks like her shot is “money” every time. Bowman was recently a standout at the PGH Expo where she was arguably the best pure shooter in the building. At this Fall session, it more of the same. Bowman has good handles, and other tools in the bag. Her pull-up jumper in the paint is nice as well as her floaters. She is a complete player and she will definitely be impactful this high school season. With her quality bigs, she will be a weapon on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='514519' first='Carleyssia' last='Wallace'] was one of the big names this past summer. Her impact in the State was on par with Civil, Mignery, Betton, Francis, etc. Wallace out in the work and became a big time recruit. She was probably the biggest surprise in the State. Before the season started, she was a standout shooter at the Richardson Memorial Showcase. She hasn't looked back and continues to be one of the top shooters in the State. Wallace has the college size already and lot of other college traits. She can play in the paint, play on the perimeter, and is very good in transition. At the Fall Session, she didn't need to impress anyone, but she did. The shot is as smooth as butter. Wallace should have her great season, and we should be seeing her and her team in Lakeland at the end of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='221598' first='Trinity' last='Berry'] has solidified herself as one of the top shooters in the State. I heard that the young baller went 15 for 18 from behind the arc in a tournament. That comes as no surprise as I saw her in action many times: at the Sunshine State Showdown, Reps on Reps Showcase, FABC Showcase, etc. Berry can shoot the rock - off the catch or dribble. She also continues to turn heads with her work ethic and passion for the game. I had a coach comment on a player diving for a ball with her team up by thirty. The coach was “Berry” impressed with the effort that Berry plays with and her shooting ability. She was one of the top shooters at the Fall Session .

[player_tooltip player_id='248679' first='Zoe' last='Corjay'] was in the building and was letting that three ball fly. Corjay has that versatile game where she can take it to the rim or knock down the three. She is quick, shifty, and a very good shooter. A defender has to respect her driving ability, and Corjay can make you pay. She was one of the top shooters in the building and is poised for a nice season. The aggressive shooting guard has averaged over 40 threes per season. No doubt the three ball will be flying this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='654792' first='Taylor' last='Viotto'] was in the building and the lefty looked nice. Viotto recently transferred to Florida from Michigan, and will play at Barron Collier in Florida. Viotto has nice form, handles the ball well, and is a smooth and high IQ basketball player. It's easy to surmise that after watching her tape and then seeing her in person. Viotto left an impression with her shooting and passion for the game. She was one of the top shooters in the building, and we can say, “ the Sunshine State has landed another shooter.”

[player_tooltip player_id='400785' first='Audrey' last='Beyer'] was in the building looking like a 6'1 -D-1 player. That pull-up jumper from ground level is so smooth that it's scary. Beyer continues to shoot that jumper at an high level, and undoubtedly she was one of the top shooters and prospects in the building. Beyer probably had the most range in the building, which is as soon as she crosses half court. Beyer can really score the ball from anywhere, and she is just as effective taking it to the rim to get the bucket or draw the foul.
